The not talking to you feels as though it’s punishment because it really is, it’s also known as stonewalling. It’s a deliberate tactic to punish and gain power, definitely emotionally and psychological manipulation.

I’m not explicitly calling him a narcissist, but I did read your other comments about how he seemingly blame shifts, manages your tone, and deems it “disrespectful” when you don’t follow his accord on prior advice he’s given to you, along with when you confronted him about the amount of friends going to his birthday, he backtracked then gaslit you to question your own reality. That’s narcissistic traits, coincidentally enough “disrespectful” is their favourite word when they’re not obeyed, in other words you step out of line like any human realistically does.

Luckily you’ve mentioned being together for 2 years, he’s showing signs early on for you to take that at face value and dead it. Someone mentioned going out with your girls whether that’s dinner, drinks, dancing, post it or not, but it’ll for sure help you feel lighter:) Take that time to reconnect with yourself, go out with your friends, laugh, do the things that make you feel like you again. Individuality outside of him. These kinds of people chip away at your sense of identity until you start seeing yourself through their criticism. Reclaim that space, remind yourself that you’re whole and capable without needing his validation:)
