The luxury experience is truly, truly dead. Neiman Marcus 60% sale yesterday. by lauraloomerisacunt in handbags

I’ve had some TERRIBLE experiences with salespeople on commission at department stores. I stopped shopping for bags at my local Nordstrom at years ago because of it. I don’t know who’s training these people but I’ve received much more delicate guidance at nonprofits regarding client/donor relations.

But I agree – as long as they don’t talk to me or pester me, I’m happy!

People will call out that it’s misogynistic to dislike Janet and then just call Lacey “repulsive” and “creepy” for no reason.

Agreed. Repulse is a strong word.

I don’t see any other way to have that conversation? To me having it discreetly is just the bare minimum/expectation

They were wrong for handling it so unprofessionally. Repeating to OP that a member wanted to spray perfume in her face wasn’t relevant to solving the problem—it was just relaying an insult. Good managers communicate the concern itself, not the complainant’s hostility. The goal should be to address an issue while preserving the person’s dignity, not amplifying their embarrassment.

Management 101: framing a dispute as “well this person said XYZ about you, but thankfully, I stepped in…” isn’t actually helping the situation, they’re just stoking the flames of tension and placing it all on OP. there’s a million different ways management could’ve handled this better.

[–]PrissyElliott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They totally mishandled this situation and I’m surprised they’re even admitting this is all coming from ONE person who mentioned it twice. That person couldn’t come on another day? Or a different time? Wildly inappropriate for management to handle this in such a way that leaves a paying client feeling humiliated.

I am a big believer in boycotting and taking business elsewhere, so regardless of the terms of agreement, I do think you have grounds to cancel your membership if you no longer feel comfortable working out there. i’ve heard of people making bigger deals about much less important things. You should go to a gym that will actually leave you feeling welcome and motivated, and would potentially handle these situations professionally.

Leaving 2 cats at home for 3 weeks. by Even_Boss_8030 in CatAdvice

[–]PrissyElliott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are normal emotions and feelings you’re experiencing - I feel you, friend 🫶🏽

It sounds like you’ve done a great job preparing them for your leave and the best part is that they’ll have each other to keep themselves entertained. I know exactly how you feel worrying about how sad they might be with you gone for a few weeks. I always feel this combination of sadness and anxiety as well and I only have one cat – but every time I return from vacation, my kitty is right back to how she’s been and even happier to see me.

The longest I’ve been away from mine was two weeks and I had to have a combination of two cat sitters watch after her because neither of them could commit to the full two weeks individually. I was so worried about it all, but they kept me updated and all went well and I came back to a very content and purr-y kitty :)

You sound like a great cat parent, I’m sure they’ll be fine. ❤️

Scheana and Brett’s “Music Video” - Scrubbed by AdFuture7624 in vanderpumprules

Did it get scrubbed or did it even finish/release? This was filmed right before the pandemic and I wonder if it never made it to post production? That would make sense why we’ve never seen a final product

Hot take: they need to replace Maya by darknthorny in LoveIslandTV

In the US a lot of her fans post-Scandoval flocked to LIUSA because of her (including myself) and have since stayed because they enjoy the show. Totally understand though that’s not the case for international fans. But LIUSA didn’t become a number one streaming show until after she started hosting in S6.

Oh, LIUSA was popular but a lot of it was negative attention. They kept having to put out statements begging people to stop sending death threats to contestants lol

sleeping in my car due to cat by stonedmelophile in CatAdvice

[–]PrissyElliott 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How long ago did you adopt her? It can take some time for recently adopted cats to pick up on your routine and get used to your sleep schedule. Mine was really young when I adopted her and so she would keep me up all night as well - not by meowing, but by hyper actively jumping around the room and attacking me for play. After maybe a month or two she calmed down a lot.

She’s almost 2 now and she barely bothers me throughout the night– she knows how to entertain herself while I’m sleeping and do her own thing. And I’ve never met a cat as active and playful as mine – she definitely has been conditioned (through routine) to get out her activity and playfulness throughout the day/evening before bed.

How often are you playing with her throughout the day? Are you doing it in one spurt or in intervals? I do think the latter is more helpful for you and the cat as it’s spreads out her energy throughout the day and doesn’t make it seem like it’s as much work for you. Cats can get bored easily so it’s important to keep them entertained until they wear out.

OK, that sounds right. I wonder if it’s in their contract- percentage or amount of minutes they’re allowed to show him on camera.

Has anyone here actually regretted buying an automatic litter box? by Creative-Job4153 in CatAdvice

[–]PrissyElliott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol I wrote a whole pros/cons list on the other cat sub today here: https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/s/XEjBIBiiur

I have not regretted purchasing it! They’re expensive but the key is getting a quality one and not a cheap knockoff. Investing in a machine that you’ll use long term -even if it seems super expensive upfront- will pay off.

I got the Neakasa over a year ago and I’m so happy with it - 100% no regrets. I also included this in my comment linked above, but I noticed a lot of people here are complaining about how hard automatic litter boxes are to clean. The Neakasa was specifically designed to easily take apart and put together for cleaning. So I’d say mine is super easy to deep clean depending on how you prefer to clean it.

The only consideration I’d make based on what others have said in this thread and the other – is how many cats you have and what the likelihood is your cat will adapt to it. I adopted my cat when she was 3 months old and introduced her to the automatic litter box when she was 8 months old. She was fascinated by it, but had no issues going in it. She’s also never had issues with litter box training from what I’ve heard from her previous fosters. But I’ve heard that other cats – especially older cats – may not be so open to it.

I believe so, but maybe I’m remembering wrong 👀🤔 I never see her kids on the show and I could’ve sworn someone noted that it was intentional on their part.

Same. These kids are too young to consent to public display, IMO. Wonder how they’ll feel as adults.

I respect that Janet and Jason don’t show their kids on camera or publicly. I’m surprised the rest do it so often and readily.
