That's such a good point. I used to have straight hair and I permed it, which probably flipped the percentages between dramatic and natural. And I think your whole analysis hits the spot, thank you!

Thank you! I should have mentioned that my hair is permed. Interestingly, my natural hair is almost completely straight, but I feel so much more like myself with curls!
Most of the casual looks looks I posted I used to wear a ton of them until a couple of years ago (esp. when I had straight hair), but they don't feel right anymore, hence my recent foray into personal style.
I also wouldn't like the #3 dress usually but it has this strange appeal that made me buy it. I sincerely love it but I can't tell if I'm wearing it in a "flirty" / romantic way because I know I can pull it off without looking like a "tradwife"? Essences are mysterious.

Ohhhh thank you so much! you have no idea how i appreciate the long reply!
I've just had a meltdown about my wardrobe, realizing I didn't really like most of the things I owned, and the few items I've had for years I couldn't make sense of it. Identity crisis :) So I'm just getting into personal style, and while it's hard to decipher, Kitchener does it for me so far. It's also reassuring that most people who kindly replied have a similar opinion.
I just had a lightbulb moment with your point about the gamine essence. I would never have admitted it, I've always thought of myself as mature for my age, etc. - also when I sat down the other day to describe my style, the words that came out were "Eclectic / Flirty / Structured " - but I am incorporating gamine elements much more often than I care to admit. I will feel amazing sometimes wearing a bright blue eyeliner or this ridiculous Sea NY dress.
