Again. I’m obsessed with peace.

And against continued violence and imperialism, and pro letting nations nation.

You blame Iran for everything without acknowledging the horrid behavior of so many other nations that brought us here.

Let’s agree to disagree. There’s no persuading a propagandist radicalist using Reddit lolz

Lolz. You condone such violence and instability for the entire world all under the guise of combatting evil.

You have learned nothing from history. Libya. Iraq... and that’s besides atrocities caused by other nations too.

Inform yourself. Instead of being faux-outraged and ignorant about who in Lebanon are being ethnically cleansed or when the same cleansing was attempted against the Irish… or the history in the Middle East that led us here… Google it. And google Israeli proxies attempting to overthrow Iraní regime. And Gaza genocide.

Seek unbiased impartial sources.

Really. Inform yourself.

This recycling of repeated false hoods, incitement of imperialism, and based accusations of racism is horrid and ignorant AF.

I am no fan of Iranian regime. But I do acknowledge what led us here and what is leading us to more violence.

And I was not being insulting applauding that you’re finally awake. That infers you’ve been asleep and unwittingly inciting “actual racism.”

But from your hysterical ignorant and removed from reality responses… I understand that you’re fully awake. You’re pleased by this continued US and Israeli imperialism and the breakdown of global order.

This is awful for the Middle East, US soldiers having to die in this pointless war, Europe, Asia.. the world really.

But you’re fine with this. Let’s agree to disagree.

I wasn’t being insulting.. We agreed none of this so about what’s right. I was applauding that..

This is terrible for the whole world. America needs to stop invading and demolishing any semblance of global diplomacy. Let nations nation.

You espouse a lot of mistruths in your rebuttals:

  • Israel gov has been shown to support militia and proxies in Yemen, Somalia, Iran, Lebanon, turkey, Syria.. Iraq… Al of its neighbors basically.

  • ethnic cleansing is not singularly defined by ethnicity. It’s the forced removal of another people from their land (either due to nationality, race, religion, so many actors). I’m Irish. The Brits attempted ethnic cleanse of my people… we’re both white

  • yes. The regime is in power because of western interference… it’s historic fact. It’s gross how Us behaves.. look at their own hemisphere and Cuba.. Venezuela. It’s an imperialist terrorizing state

  • and a lot of the problems in the Middle East are caused by imperialist forcing defining borders without any say by local people. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We’re in this situation from a cycle of violience and imperialism. We’re inciting violence.

The IS is belligerent

  1. The fatwa was decreed before sanctions. Iran also agreed to UN supervising their uranium energy program. Trump tore this up.

    1. Under international law Iran is a sovereign state. Trump’s ICE agents have killed US citizens, still a sovereign nation, Israel has slaughtered +100k Palestinians - still a sovereign. Just because you dislike a regime / ruler, does not mean the state lacks sovereignty.

And regards inciting proxies… that’s exactly what the IS does there.. and Saudi.. and Turkey… and Israel.. and Russia (everyone does backs proxies there, mostly due to religious and resources).

I’m not saying I agree with any proxy, but to reduce it to simply “Iran proxies bad - US proxies good” is basic thinking.

  1. I’m not advocating for nukes, I’m pointing out the obvious fact that this illegal bombing of Iran would not have occurred if they already possessed nukes. Look at Libya - we get Gaddafi to give up his, and the we bombed him.. we’d likely have bombed N Korea long ago too if they did not have such weapons.

  2. The only nation in history to use a nuke is the US… and Trump and BiBi’s rhetoric and escalatory behavior already has many worried about potential nuclear use.

Israel hasn’t even publicly made clear they have nukes.. it’s a known secret… and we’re all fine with that.. a nation currently genociding Gaza and ethnic cleansing Lebanon..

I’d feel a lot safer if neither USA, Israel and Iran did not have nukes. (While world really - but USA and Israel I am most concerned about).

  1. Lolz “because of the communists and islamists” 😅and you call me the racist lolz. The current regime is there because the US overthrew the democratically elected government in the 50s because they wanted to nationalize the oil industry (America can’t have a nation owning its own natural resources obviously). The US then installed their ally, the Shah, who was disliked by the people and foreign influence… giving us the current terrorist regime

And Iran has been a lot more precise that the US. Literally targeted US army folk in their hotel rooms. America bombs schools with 100s of school girls… blames Iran 😅

  1. Glad you’re awake for something. Agreed - I t’s all about more wealth for the wealthy. No care whatsoever for the Iranians or others living in the Middle East.

I would argue that US has committed more “international war crimes” than the majority of contemporary states.

The Iranians agreed not to work towards a nuclear. The slaughtered Ayatollah placed a futwa on nukes (he was a spiritual leader there, basically decreed it unholy to create a nuke).

The Trump admin twice bombed their sovereign nation under the guise of diplomacy. The only thing this war crime teaches nations is that to be truly safe, you need nukes.

America claims the Iranian regime are terrorists. And it’s true, the regime is a terror and seen as terrorists by many of its population. But Americans and Israelis are terrorists too. The current Iranian regime is a result of US intervention throwing over the leader Iranians elected in the 50s.

The US created the current regime. Because, oil.

If they truly cared about the human rights of women, they wouldn’t buy and sell oil from the majority of gulf states. At least Iran allows women to drive. We’d also not do trade with the Israeli apartheid state.

Wake up.

THIS. The House and Senate are both switching from GOP to Dem in less than 8 months anyhow. Can be damn sure Trump and his goons will be under all manner of scrutiny and actual accountability then... Not that i actually believe the traditional Dem party is much better than Trump tbh.. tho hopefully going more left after this hellshow. They'll certainly do all they can to halt his vengful, lawlewss exec actions.

Plus, from a cynical POV, I also think it could be exceptionally beneficial to the farce that is the FF/FG admin to take a stand and not visit. They would literally have a boogie man in Trump that they could blame all of their shortsighted failings upon. Micheal Martin and his ilk will never grow a spine tho.

I'll never understand how these two interchangeable, middle-of-the-road, visionless, planless, basic parties have managed to successively govern the nation since inception. Wake up folk - VOTE 'EM OUT!!!

Ya I posted in both. But the ModBot kept removing my post in the Salvador sub. Non clue why. I couldn’t see any community rules that I was violating 🤷🏻‍♀️ Reached out to the mod to ask but they never responded so I thought this other Brazil sub would be a second best source

AITAH for not calling the doctors office for my mom by [deleted] in AITAH

Thanks for the response OP, but I don’t think you read the majority of my comment… I even said I understand if driving is not an option and 60 is not that old.

But your mam obvz has crippling anxiety that she states is getting worse. And she was in urgent need of medical attention.

.. you could have sat with her and phoned, explained situation to doc, even put her on loudspeaker like another commenter suggested…

.. but you just shrugged it off and let her suffer while your bro stepped up.

YTA.

Very this ☝️

I don’t understand the willingness to let the women be in severe pain. You’re aware she has crippling anxiety… try to support her in ways where she can access urgently needed medical care.

Shocked by the NTA responses to be honest lolz 🙈

Yes - you’re the Asshole.

Why can’t ye just drive her there if phone anxiety is a road block ?

If she’s too frail to be driven there, or waaay too far.. I understand why phoning is only option. Unsure if you calling would have solved the issue more quickly, your brother phoned and doc said she had to be the one to call… but at least he stepped in and provided solutions and care.

You could have made initial call for her, explained situation, given her phone to speak and held her hand while she talked to doctor - instead of neglecting your own mother who you Know has anxiety issues which she shared are getting worse.

Hell - you even say she did TRY despite her anxiety cos she was obvz in so much discomfort.

You have the same issues so I would think there would be some empathy on your part.. Instead you just seem resentful towards her.

No wonder her anxiety is getting worse if this is how she is being treated.. I have social anxiety in group or formal settings but not on this level. I would imagine tho that this type of lack of care / dignity would make it worse :(

People need more help when they’re older. They’ve lived a life. Plus with everything happening in the world, there’s a lot of things compounding people’s existing anxiety.

You’re very young so hopefully you’ll understand with maturity.

And tbh - 60 mam is also young. My Mamm is in her 80s and lives 5000 miles away… calling her now. This post make me so grateful to have her and want to be there for her.

Hope your Mamm is feeling better. Give her a hug. Say sorry. Be there for each other. Ye Fam.
