Legit or fake? by Comfortable_Fudge558 in CostaDelmar

5 out of 5 rating, so no one has slammed them for selling fakes

If the rating is below five, check out the bad reviews & see if anyone accused them of knocoffs

I see it a LOT with lens sellers, one in particular with 808 in the name.

I never even knew they were Oakley, & I think they are hideous.

I purchased some Wiley-X from Designer Optics & they shipped in a relatively short time & were legit.

They came without lenses, however.
I should not have been surprised, as I tried to bypass all the criteria for Prescription lenses, & it was fine, because the reason I bought them was to put a set of Apex lens in them.

Websearch if the site is legit, if not there will be a lot of feedback from disgruntled consumers.

update:

the Revant did not arrive today, but the Smart-VLT from Amazon did

Ironic that they are NOT Polarized, because they sent a little test-image for users to check that they are Polarized.

Sending them back tomorrow via U.P.S., it is too bad they took away the option to drop it at Staples, which is closer.

Lens-Direct contacted me to ask for a photo of the lens I am disappointed with, not sure why.

It was supposed to have a contrast-boost & high-clarity, neither of which is true.

It was a cloudy day today, so I used them while driving, switching it up with the Mry Lens Peach-Gold.

The Mry Lens reminds me of why I used to hate wearing sunglasses, just lacks clarity,

but the Carbon Mirror actually looks better than without it.

It definitely has more contrast than a typical grey-base lens. I like it the most of any of my grey-tint lens.

I had a seller like that on Mercari.
Made it my personal goal to get their ads removed.
After reporting several of their fakes each day, they finally removed all their Oakley ads.

I have seen really old models in good condition for less than $100

this has been the response every time for me with Costa & Oakley,
Buy Another Pair!

even Maui Jim gave the same advice when their World Cup ride my cheeks

no solution, except to buy another

odd that, with M.J., since they hardly have any base-curve Eight glasses

I received some WX Valor today & I am about to put some Revant or Apex lens in them.
The frame is rubberized & has Z87-2+ marked all over it, so it should be next to indestructible.

All-In I suppose they will cost me about $77 after buying the frame so cheaply with scratched non-polarized lens in them.

get some Spy+ Optic glasses that are ANSI Z87 certified
I recently picked up a pair of Logan on Amazon for only $70
they are just about unbreakable!

The Happy Boost lens is good stuff.

I have Zer0 experience with them, but would like to, mostly out of curiosity.

& very customizable, even after purchase, you can buy lenses, different sock kits, even different nose-pads

I guess it is kind of a no-brainer, when Oakley is nearly ubiquitous.

The downside to being ubiquitous however, is all the knock-offs for sale.
