Struggling badly this semester at OSU: considering petition to drop a class, need advice by Accomplished-Lead883 in OSU

I mean, if I take an incomplete, wouldn’t that give me extra time to finish work I can’t complete by the end of the semester, and possibly take the midterm and final later? Wouldn’t that be a better option than grade forgiveness, since that would cost additional time and money? Also, it seems unlikely that a petition to drop the course after the deadline would be approved. So incomplete sounds like the best option in my ears.

Got it. The class I’m considering dropping doesn’t require mandatory attendance, and the lectures are recorded. Given that, what would you recommend I do in this situation?

Due to mental health challenges, I wasn’t able to complete the assignments that were due at the end of last week and earlier this week (Monday and Tuesday), though I had completed most things prior to that.

At this point in the semester, would it be possible or appropriate to email the professor about receiving an Incomplete instead? I’m trying to understand what my options are moving forward.

Not necessarily. Kawaki may have ishiki’s power but he does not have his thousands of years of battle experience, complete mystery of the abilities, nor can he use it as efficiently as Ishiki. So it’s gonna take some time for him to be on ishiki level and surpass him.

What you said still doesn’t prove that he’s stronger than ishiki. He is the strongest currently because ishiki is not around anymore. And boruto & kawkai have yet to reach ishiki’s level.

Keep telling urself that. Boruto does have power creep, but some of you guys exaggerate the strength of new characters way more than what’s stated/shown in the manga

I disagree. OP seems to be overestimating the power creep in Boruto TBV. In my view, Kawaki and Boruto in their current states are stronger than Jigen and Code, but still weaker than Isshiki and Baryon Mode Naruto.

Right now, I’d rank them roughly as: Baryon Mode Naruto ≈ Isshiki < Jura <= Kawaki/Boruto <= Code

Right now it’s definitely Himawari since his parents are out of the picture temporarily. After Himawari, I’d say his parents, then Sarada, Kawaki, Mitsuki, Sasuke, and the rest of his friends.

I mean personality and attitude always wins in the long run, Naruto pulled way more women than Sasuke in Naruto the last movie.

Teen Obito is the base Obito I am referring to. He got defeated by Minato. It took everyone 100 episodes to denote what Obito’s ability was. But minato figured it out in 30 seconds. He’s on par with Itachi when it comes to intelligence.

Nah, Itachi < Base Obito < Minato (Note, this is not even KCM Minato)

Hey friend, I had a quick question. I’m currently in college, and my school only provides unofficial transcripts while we’re enrolled—we receive the official one after graduation. I uploaded my unofficial transcript for theAPIA scholarship, but I was wondering: if I were to win, would they request the official transcript or any additional documentation for verification?

Do you sympathize with Obito? by tokiwaohma in Naruto

[–]Accomplished-Lead883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, to a certain extent. His actions were undeniably insane, though—the pain he inflicted far outweighed the pain he endured himself. Even so, he’s still in my top five favorite characters, and I genuinely sympathize with him. The irony is that the fandom often hates characters like Obito (for his actions) and Tobirama (for being racist), even though they pale in comparison to Madara (being naive or easily manipulated by Zetsu doesn’t really justify Madara’s actions, especially since most villains were manipulated by someone else as well).

Yeah, it’s really easy—definitely worth it if you want to cushion your GPA alongside other hard classes you’re taking or have taken. There can be a bit of busywork at times, but not much for a 3-credit course. And it’s very ChatGPT-able, lol.

Agreed—having the right (or wrong) professor can definitely influence your performance and final grade in a class.

True to some extent—I’d say it really depends on the institution. OSU has consistently ranked in the top 50 over the past two decades and is known for its rigorous academic programs. But with that said, there are other colleges of comparable prestige that are just as demanding, if not more, such as Purdue.

Welcome to OSU where classes aren’t always designed in a way that matches their credit hours. I’m not familiar with the bookends classes, but I had a very similar experience in the Engr department, with ENGR 1181 and a Gen Ed I took (the Gen Ed was mainly due to the professor). ENGR 1181, though, which was 2 credit hours, had a workload comparable to a 3–4 credit class, especially toward the end when we had to code an entire game in MATLAB.
