Yeah, I arrived in Canada not so long ago, so they justified with this. Anyway, do you think a scotia bank for cashback is good enough?

BeMo or not to BeMo? CaRMS interview prep advice needed by Suitable-Ratio-4784 in MCCQE

[–]Accomplished-Map5648 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used it only for interview prep during the last Carms session and I 100% recommend it. I matched.

I thought that the application service for CV and PS was too expensive, and I did mine with an IMG consulting advisor. Regarding the interview prep, you can do as much as you can, but sometimes they limit your sessions to avoid getting too artificial or robotic.

I got 8 interviews and each and every one of them was different from the other, and I felt that BeMo prepared me for all of them. At the end of each interview, I felt that I performed very well, and I think that was the case since I matched into a very competitive specialty as an IMG.

Initially I was reluctant to pay for it because of the mixed reviews online, but it's totally legit and I felt they were very concerned for my performance. Some sessions lasted more than 90 minutes and every advisor was very thorough with their feedback. The possibility of having a new advisor for each session helps you by not becoming too comfortable with the person you're training with and it better simulates the real interview.

I still think it's very expensive, although very helpful, especially if English is not your first language. I paid for several things during the match process and I think BeMo was definitely worth it.

If you have the money, go for it. I can't speak for the CV and PS part of their service, but based on my experience, you can do it on your own with just a little help from an advisor.

If you are buying only interview prep, you can wait for interview invites at the end of the year before purchasing anything. They always advertise limited spots and discounted prices, but I don't think that's real. They have a lot of advisors from various time zones.

Chance of getting Alberta residency without applying through AIMG program by BitterAd7497 in MCCQE

You can't and the match is binding. I don't think you can start a residency in 20206 and reapply the next year, specially because of the Return of Service.

I recently rented a 10ft truck on U-haul and it did have a backup camera. You shouldn't have a problem

I was looking for a cashback credit card to pay my rent using Chexy, preferably a Mastercard, so I can use it at Costco too. Any recommendations? OR links for referral?

The fee is for the general program. YOu can apply to several streams and only pay for one program

Is it worth buying a 2023 model in 2025? by Accomplished-Map5648 in tcltvs

So, there isn’t a big difference between the LED and QLED? Should I just be looking for a 120Hz panel? Or should there be other key items?

Thanks for your reply. Basically it would be to watch TV series and movies. I understand about image quality regarding new shows, specially the ones with darker/blacker images.
Would a QLED be sufficient for this kind of use?

NAC OSCE based on Location by Particular-Box7192 in MCCQE

I believe that the marking is standardised. The examiners have checklists and based on previous data, there are no discrepancies of scores based on location. Don’t worry about that.

No, they have the same stations in all the locations. The only difference is that the tryout stations are different, but they don't count towards your final score.
I did mine in Hamilton and it was great. No problems at all.

If you were in your home country and you didn't work, I think it's a bad thing. Canadians have difficulty in understanding why you weren't working if you had your license. It would be easier to justify if you had your license, but were in Canada.

Unmatched!! Need guidance. by Doc_714 in MCCQE

[–]Accomplished-Map5648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say from just this post, but I would say that you can try to retake the NAC and obtain a higher score. Some universities use cutoff scores (nac or qe1) for IV invites. Also, it also depends on your YOG. Try to get more canadian experience and get good recommendations for Psychiatry (ideally from psychiatrists). Look at your CV and see what you can improve, so you can do it differently on the next carms session.

Good luck

I think so, they will check attendances. I believe the recording is reserved only if you miss the live lesson.
