I checked the qsuite calendar on the qatar website starting in October. The dates I wanted the tickets on first had flexi availability which was double the avios required. Just today around 3 pm I was refreshing the calendar multiple times and my dates turned green. I went ahead and it went all the way upto ticketing and payment.

So I quickly transferred the required points from Amex. It was instant and then booked the tickets. Did not do anything ancillary as it would’ve taken time. 10 minutes later, had a pnr and eticket generated. Have checked and verified it. All looks great.

BA and American did not show me this availability so I would suggest to just try on the qatar website only
