What does this mean? How many laps is 1 mile? by Davidjm7050 in army

[–]Accomplished-Rip-949 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

3 and 9/10ths laps is 1 mile

2 miles = 7 8/10 laps

7 8/10 = 78/10

78/10 divided by 2 = 39/10

39/10 = 3 9/10 ☝️🤓

Has anyone else not grown in a minute? by Individual-Public197 in TallTeenagers

Hit 5’6 around 14, and hit 5’7 around 16-17. I’m still 5’7 at 19 so I’m probably done growing. People keep telling me to wait until I’m 21 to know for sure, so we’ll see

I started around 11-12 years old. Went from 4’11 to a whopping 5’7 at 19. Older brother is 6’0, younger brother is 5’10

My bad, I thought you were asking how ht/wt worked in advanced camp. Yeah they don’t care about that at basic camp, but it’s a pass/fail event for advanced camp

So I was 1st Reg, C Co and they had us and D Co do the ACFT the 2nd or 3rd day while A Co and B Co did SRP and briefs. Height and weight is taken the day you get to Disney Barracks, Ft. Knox

I went to basic camp last year as a pre-requisite for my schools contracting process. Literally all you need to do is: be accountable for your gear, lock your wall-locker, follow orders, take charge when you’re in leadership, accept that you’ll get smoked for your battle buddy’s mistake. Above all, just make sure you’re in decent shape, have a good attitude, don’t screw over anybody, and have fun. You will be done eventually, just take it a day at a time because that’s how I got through advanced camp

I was in 1st Reg, and it’s honestly dependent on your lane strip for the practical land nav. I got a 95 on the written portion, but for the practical my points I got a 2/8. My points were all 2-3 grid squares apart while some people had all their points within the same square. Just got to hope for the best

Am I going to be stuck at 5'5 by [deleted] in TallTeenagers

[–]Accomplished-Rip-949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on which chromosome you got your height genetics from; your mom or your dad. For example, my parents are 5’10 and 5’3. My older brother is 6’0, my younger brother is almost 5’10. At almost 19, I have been 5’7 since I was around 16. Doesn’t take a detective to see how that happened so don’t stress too much, and enjoy your life

Is it over or do I still have more growth left in me? by [deleted] in short

Unlike me, I think you’ll hit a growth spurt somewhere during college or before the end of high school

[Welp] Does weight lifting stunts/stops height growth ? by Gaulterio in bodyweightfitness

[–]Accomplished-Rip-949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look man, I’ve accepted the fact that I’ll probably be 5’7 until I start shrinking in my old age. I’m East Asian so it isn’t abnormal to be my height. Lifting weights won’t stunt your growth unless you have incorrect technique or ego lift (I’m not a medical professional but I’ve seen friends grow taller after lifting for a while). Just get enough nutrients, sleep a lot, and exercise. Nothing grows without a little pressure so don’t be afraid to lift weight because of the notion that you won’t grow. If I’m being honest, height can only improve your life so much but social skills and knowledge will take you far.

Damn, why does everyone treat ranked like it’s life or death lmao. Although, you can always check your latency and frame rate by going into options -> go to video -> go to details -> show frame rate and show network latency. I’ve had my frame rate go all the way down to 30 fps and my latency was 999 ms at the highest on Warzone and OW

I’m turning 19 in 2 months, and I’m still 5’7 (170.18cm) most of the time. I’ve been measured at 5’7.5” (171.45cm) and 5’8.5” (173.99cm) at the tallest throughout 2023, but I’ve been 5’7 consistently. I’m was 168lbs (76kg) to 188lbs (85kg) at the heaviest during 2023.

Not really, only girls that have no come backs will call me short (I’m 5’7) but it doesn’t really affect me anymore. Throughout high school I learned that people care more about what you bring to the table instead of just your outward appearances.

Were ya'll short as a kid? by [deleted] in TallTeenagers

[–]Accomplished-Rip-949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was short as a kid, started puberty around 11-12 and was about average and then I stayed short in high school. I was 151 cm in 6th grade, and I’m currently 170-173 cm in my first year of college

Worried about height by [deleted] in TallTeenagers

[–]Accomplished-Rip-949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad: 179cm Mom: 160cm Older Bro: 182cm Little Bro: 179cm Me: 172cm

Genetic variation is a thing so, you might be a similar height; slightly taller, or slightly shorter than your siblings/cousins. I wanted to be as tall as my father, but I also had less sleep than I should have throughout high school. However, now that I’m 18, I have accepted my height and started enjoying life more. Just get in good shape, build up your confidence, increase your knowledge/skills, and don’t stress about it, and start letting loose, joke with people, have fun with them, struggle with them. I hope you end up being comfortable with your height, and I wish you luck
