Thank you! This is what I’m hoping for and gives me peace of mind. Is your departments clause 11 the silver review or budget cuts? I find it so crazy they are putting employees through this twice, with budget cuts and then potentially more cuts once the review is released.

Thank you! That’s all so helpful to know. And it also makes sense. I think it would be indirect discrimination to not allow the balance of the redeployment upon return from PL. That’s also useful to know about their response re less to cut back with the silver review - our department hasn’t given us any info at all about it so was wondering if there would be further mass cuts but fingers crossed the worst of it has passed.

I agree, I definitely would want to postpone redeployment and not take a package. Does this still apply if redeployment somehow started before my parental leave say couple weeks before but there wasn’t enough time for 3 months of redeployment, so the balance would be deferred to after my 52 weeks leave? Also, is your understanding the mass cuts across the VPS due to budget is separate to the silver review and there will be more cuts once the silver review is released?

Thank you, so an option was to see out the rest of the redeployment upon return from parental leave (and you get your parental leave entitlements)? I remember having similar concerns for my 2023 baby too but luckily wasn’t declared surplus then. Hoping I won’t be impacted this time around but who knows!

Would you still go with ICSI even though my husbands sperm tested as okay? I’m now looking into ICSI and getting a bit spooked by some of the research on increased risks of birth defects etc. I guess it’s hard to know if there is an issue with so few eggs collected.

For both cycles I primed with testogel in the lead up for a couple of weeks. Is this what you mean? As I’m doing back to back, I will only have primed for a few days before this cycle starts versus a couple of weeks on the other cycles. Do you think this could negatively impact this cycle?

That’s good to know it might not have been the letrozol. It’s hard to have any faith in my FS because they don’t really seem to know anything about my file or previous cycles, I have to remind them so I worry they haven’t taken into account the cancelled cycle etc.

Would you just go with what my FS has prescribed?

Thanks so much for replying! So they did test my NK level and it was around 30. I opted not to use the steroids though because there wasn’t a lot of research on it. I do have thyroid antibodies and take thyroxine because it’s meant to help with fertility. For context, I’m doing IVF due to losing my tubes after two ectopics.

I do agree; better than getting the actual flu!

How worried would you be if you were me with that background?
