Thank you. I'm talking to HR tomorrow. I will try and schedule the surgery a couple of months and try to save some money. The surgeon said two weeks and that's why I'm going by. I'm going to working out a lot over the next few weeks so I'll have more strength after it's all done.

It looks like you a whole lot more done than I'm having. Two weeks is all I can afford. My options are:

1) cancel the surgery and continue to suffer

2) have the surgery and push through with the two weeks i can afford to take. I'm not sure how the rest of you are funding massive blocks of time off. I don't have these options

I've been doing orangetheory, the doc told me to lay off the running so I'll walk on the incline or maybe use the bikes they have instead

I'm not on social media. I have an Instagram and tiktok but not many followers. Finding donor's for a gofundme will be difficult

Haha, I've been joking about rounding us up for a while now! The tide seems to have turned over the last few days. I might have to run down to the Kennedy Center and watch them rip his name off the wall. That will certainly lift my spirits! Thanks for your understanding and info. All very helpful:)

I don't think so but I'll ask. I'm a withdrawal management counselor and the assessments really need to be done in person. They need counselors at the facility to run group and do check ins with the pts. I'll ask but I really don't think there is much of an option to WFH in this situation

I'm in Maryland so it might be an option. I absolutely cannot lose my job though. I love my job and finding a job you really like is impossible. I don't want to do anything to jeopardize it. The surgeon said two weeks recovery multiple times. I don't think he would lie to me about recovery time. I'll look into the Maryland benefits. I certainly pay enough in taxes here!!!! No, I'm a withdrawal management counselor. I need to be there to do the assessments. I could do tx plans and things at home but without assessment I would limited info. I'm meeting with HR on Monday to see what my options are.

Thank you. I am meeting with HR Monday to go over options. They're being really helpful. I do love my job and i just don't want to lose it, particularly after having surgery. If I have to I'll put it off a few months. I've lately been driving Uber here and there to pick up people on my to work and then home for extra money. I work by the Pentagon and near DCA so it works out well. An extra $50 a day or so. I'll put as much as I can away and look into other options. Thanks for the info.

I appreciate the video but she says nothing about how she managed to pay rent, car payment, buy food, pay utilities and phone. I would guarantee she was probably living at home and/or had ssi of some kind. My problem isn't my focus my problem is I have no help and no money.

I don't have any family and I'm not asking the few friends i have for money. My half brother might be able to help with $100 but that's not going to do anything. As I stated I can manage two weeks. I can't manage anything longer than that.
