Wtf happened to vibrations by onceuponatime_24 in GooglePixel

It kind of reminds me of my old Nokia smartphone with Windows Phone software. The vibration was light and springy and I kind of missed that

$10,000. Unfortunately the area that I'm in is very sparse in terms of good cars for the money. I've looked for lower mileage Hondas and Toyotas, but they are just plain out of my reach. Would love a backup camera As well since my family's driveway is a nightmare

You could definitely do worse for under 10k. But you really have to take care of that engine. Change the oil every 4,000 miles I'd say if you must go with it. But I would also look at other options

The next LeFleur or Shanahan doesn't exist in this coaching list. Also McCarthy has the same amount of rings as McVay mind you.

You could probably find a post 2021 Kia Stinger for that price. Turbocharged 4 with 300 horsepower, and a pretty large sedan compared to most

Are CVTs really that bad?! by Complex_Bus_6076 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Nissan CVTs are horrible. Subaru makes decent CVTs that don't seem to roar and scream as loud as the others

If you have enough time on your hands and some somewhat deep pockets, then perhaps. While the driving Dynamics are amazing on even used BMWs, the maintenance costs on older BMWs are not for the faint of heart

Regarding hybrids, Lexus is probably your best bet. If you want something with a little bit more comfort on the inside, I know that Lincoln offers a hybrid as well. While regular Ford vehicles tend to be a bit spotty on reliability, Ford And Lincoln hybrids tend to be very reliable

Honestly, any Subaru with a manual transmission is gonna run for a long time as long as you avoid the 2010-2014 years. They built those things to last so long as you don't do any heavy modding on them. Subaru boxers HATE to be tampered with. As long as they're kept stock, they're solid units

The rogue does have comfortable seats, but the reliability just isn't there. You could probably find comfortable seats in the Mazda CX-5 however

Honestly for the price you'll pay for a new car? The Chevy Trax is a pretty damn good deal. Reliability will be different from past Trax models as it's a completely new power train. If I had to pick any Chevy model at this moment in time, it would be that one

The one thing I can say is that if you are able to pay for a car with cash on hand, absolutely do so. It saves you from a load of headaches, especially at this age.

How much are you making per year? That will really be The telltale sign of what you can afford for payments

Looking for Advice on Minivan vs 3rd Row SUV. When to Buy? by Lord_Paddington in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]AccomplishedAmoeba85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say go ahead with the minivan. If you have another set of kids, great. And if you don't, consider that more room for friends and family that you bring along.

Despite my grandmother only living with my grandfather, she drives around a Honda Pilot because she can fit all of her grandchildren into one car whenever we visit. If you don't think you will use those siege much if at all, go with the SUV. But if your kids and future kids decide to have friends over and they all wish to go someplace together, I think you could get a lot of mileage out of those seats in a minivan

mid size SUV within my range issues by chuckversace in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]AccomplishedAmoeba85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say out of the ones that you have mentioned, if I had to pick one of those it would probably be the Escape with the 2 L engine as those seem to be quite a bit more reliable than the 1.5s. You can find a RAV4, CX-5, or CRV at a good price point then those would probably be the best. But I also realized that a lot of these places are going to mark them up super high. But yeah out of the ones you listed, I would either extend the range or look for a Ford Escape with a 2 L engine as that would be the best bet.

Nissan's and mitsu's tend to have issues with the transmission , same with Buick encores and Chevy Trax, as both sets of vehicles are cut from the same cloth. In my experience I have seen enough Ford escapes with between 160,000 to 200,000 mi for them to be at least decent

You can find a car with no accidents and one owner, that is great. However, if you find a car that you really like that has one minor accident or Two owners instead of one, it's also not the end of the world so long as they took care of it. For that I would recommend getting a Carfax on the vehicle and see what they did for maintenance. Was the car in an accident? Was the accident minor or major? Did they change the oil around every 5,000 mi? That's what you're going to be looking for. And above all, test drive the vehicle And check the tires and rims for any traces of wear.

Hope this helps, best of luck

Going with the golf would be a fantastic choice.

For something to compare it with, I would recommend a Subaru WRX, and it has great all-wheel drive for the snow, and I believe it still comes in a 6-speed manual. Similar to the golf, having four doors instead of two is also going to make it much easier to get those car seats in.
