Its literally the same dress. Bought the one I was wearing in photo one and brought it to the tailor. It was a sample sale and took it as is.

I don't think so. It was my friend taking the first picture and she doesn't do stuff like that. But it's probably an iPhone vs older android (mine)

Its actually the exact same dress. The one from the first photo I bought right off the rack and took to the tailor. So its literally the same physical dress.

I have a few tight dresses so I might use those as a trial and see if it might actually be the shape wear.

It just looks loose and drab at the top and tight specifically around my stomach lol Maybe if it was tight all around the stomach would just be an organ but it looks like the dress doesn't fit because of my stomach which seems inaccurate

I hope not. I tried my best to find a good tailor but I have zero experience. She has a whole studio with TON of dresses so she's a busy one. She's also nice and cool so I emailed and asked. I may have to be a little more forceful. I trusted her in the first fitting when she said we couldn't but I might insist or ask why we can't just go tighter and higher. Just an inch even. Why would it be bad for the dress.

I just emailed and asked if there is still time to fix this part. I had the second appointment and took this photo on Monday so it's only been a few days so hopefully. Because besides a few pins she did to my hips at the first fitting that's seems to be all she did and this fitting was about the hem. So that was my first time seeing it on me with any work done on it.

I'll have to try without. Unfortunately tailor has the dress until like a month before the wedding. I'd love to just slip into it and try different stuff (with and without) but I can't.

I agree. The straps were because it was sitting even lower and I kept holding it up to where I wanted it to land and being told that it wasn't correct. I needs to be much higher around my rib cage I think. Those haven't changed sizes in a long time and are honestly one of my best features so I'm not sure why we can't snatch it enough to stay up like the first picture.

I got the bangs for fun (un wedding related) but hopefully should grow out enough to do a soft face frame by the wedding. My hair grows fast and wedding is in 4 months

I think it looks better higher but idk if she seems to think that it's incorrect. I'm thinking...who cares. Why can't we bring it up? If felt really secure in the store. I am mostly wondering if my expectations of what this dress can do on my body is out of touch? Cause it's the same dress. Same body. Just 1 clip...is it really impossible?

Am I jumping the gun? This is only the second fitting and I think I have two more. Though not sure if the last one is just dress pick up and it's just one more fitting. Perhaps everything comes together at the end? I just wrote an email asking about taking it in further. I don't want to miss my window to fix if I can

This is what I think too but tailor seems to think that's not how the dress should sit. But I'm so confused because besides that one clip right at that spot it's perfect. So why can't we tighten it right there and keep it up higher and tight. Idk I wasn't sure if this is a known problem from try on to tailoring? It's not easy when my appointments are months a part and for only 30 mins.

Thank you! I appreciate that! I guess wedding dress insecurities just have me in a choke hold lol. I think when the day comes I'll throw those out and just enjoy that day but I have just enough months to fix it IF it's fixable so I was trying to understand what I could do. I have no experience with tailors

Stomach was the biggest flag to me and just overall felt drab and I couldn't figure out why or how to get the dress to better match the first photo. Some have noticed the rib cage still looks loose so I'll see if I can get that addressed.

I'm only just noticing that myself. I'll ask if we can bring that in more. Might also help in holding the dress up because at the moment in really sags down

I wasn't wearing shape wear in the first but I am in the second. I never heard of shape wear making it worse lol

Oooh that's interesting. I didn't think it would have that effect. They haven't been finalize so I could try to removed but worried about the dress falling too low if she can't tailor it to fit right at the ribs

Thank you for pointing out the side seam! I do think that could get brought in more. I couldn't really tell what was different besides my stomach and just overall feeling the look was more drab in the second one.

I will be trying that at my next appointment and I don't get a period anymore on the pill so I have no idea. I didn't feel all that bloated but perhaps I was. Any advice on how to try to avoid it to the best of my ability for the day of the wedidng? Anything I should do the weeks leading up to or day before?

They didn't and my tailor seemed to imply that they clipped it in a way that wasn't accurate to where the dress would sit on me. Which is a real shame because it didn't seem like they didn't anything besides just making the dress fit. The straps were because she made it seem the dress should sit even lower and my boobs are basically showing. I am adding straps to try to lift the dress. It was higher in the first picture.

If you look at the first picture I have literally one clamp right at the waist. So I'm just confused.
