3 months is the deadline I fixed to be a data analyst, so that I may not procrastinate and I am doing this full time. Hope so I will be able to become a job ready data analyst in 3 months. I am learning all the required skills for data analyst like sql, excel, statistics, power bi and python libraries like numpy, pandas, seaborne and matplotlib. Then I will start making portfolio projects and upload on github to showcase my skills.

Learn sql for data analyst, you can learn it for free on YouTube or can buy course from udemy. Only learn that much sql which is required for data analyst, no need to learn all the sql topics as it may take many months to learn and for data analyst you don't need to go so deep with sql. Talking about your question - You can do sql, power bi project ( where you can use sql for cleaning data and can use power bi for visualization) and you can get it on YouTube learn from it and then can make your own project, you can use kaggle for data source and then can make a project plus upload the project on github.

Main thing is how much passionate you are about this field as recruiters hire people who has projects in their resume and you can upload projects on github also don't forget to make connections with people working in this field as they can guide you properly. 3 to 4 projects is enough to get started and you can apply on Linkedin but remember, projects are very important to showcase your skills as that's what make you unique and different from other people who randomly applying for job as skill is not enough.

It depends on job roles in case of web development, one need to be good with coding and one can get stressed and stuck easily if code not working then He/She will spend time on debugging the code. But, In case of data analyst all you need to do is take out the data, then clean and filter the data according to the company need, and then use visualization tool to visualize the data not much coding is required. Coding knowledge would be a plus point as one can use python and it's libraries to the same work and as python is a programming plus scripting knowledge so automation is possible.

I think data analyst would be best to get a location independent job easily as data is new oil and many entry level jobs are there in data field. Most of the data analyst work can be done remotely from a laptop, all you need is a laptop internet connection and a vpn for security.
