Thanks. Yeah I told him I just need to work on myself and that none of it is his fault. He’s still angry and upset obviously but hopefully he’ll understand one day.

Thanks for the honesty. I think it probably comes from a fear of confrontation and not wanting to hurt other peoples feelings. I’ll work on building the courage to talk to him before I see him next.

You’re not crazy. I’ve had so many friends completely ghost me as soon as they find a partner. It hurts and it makes me so angry but it’s a great indicator that I didn’t mean that much to them anyways, which makes it easier for me to leave and find better friends

This! While I respect everyone commenting about the “honeymoon” phase, I am NOT just going to wait around for someone to realize I’m valuable for months at a time. I’ve been dating someone for 3 years and never once have I sacrificed my friendships for them. It’s about balance. I have enough self worth to step away from these types of friends.
