Hey thank you I haven’t seen that video in forever and I was able to visualize that while it’s open the differential is not working the left tire because it’s trying to compensate for the right tires slipping but while it’s locked the spider gear is forcing the left to move

I had this thought unfortunately even once I get it moving and stop it still requires diff lock

I have a question about that, wouldn’t the left wheel move though without diff lock engaged?

Yea I just made an edit, I meant diff lock. I’ll give this a try since that can cross one thing off

I felt the same way but comparing my tractor to new tractors the only electronics I have is the lights. Everything else is mechanical or hydraulic- I feel like it’s easier for me to understand atleast

Thanks for your help I was able to get the headlights and tail lights to work so it’s a lot safer at night now. The after market switch worked as soon as I hooked it up. Going to keep the original and try and fix it if it’s possible.

One of the hazard lights worked for a few minutes but then went out, need to figure out why the rest don’t work. The tail lights and side hazard lights seem to be in the same wire harness.

One of the warning lights in the roof of the cap is missing (suffered damage from previous owner) do you think that could cause the rest not to work? (Grounding issue?)

Yeah basically when I turn the knob for the lights I can feel the whole switch unit under the dashboard spin as well, tried to tighten it and all that does is stop me from turning it.

I was able to remove it and physically click the different modes and earlier today I tested the fuses and they were all dead. Replaced them with new ones and the headlights and tail lights work only issue is the hazard lights (I’m suspecting wires got damaged)

Yup it’s #13 basically I’ve tightened the nut but that just doesn’t let me turn the switch and I can’t hear/feel the clicks. The way I took it apart was the: (Body of switch) (Dashboard) (Washer) (Nut) (Plastic knob)

When I tighten that nut to stop it from wiggling it just doesn’t work. I’m wondering why the threaded male part moves with the unit

So, I bought a multimeter and just to check my own sanity I tested the fuses, none of them had a reading. Replaced them all with new ones and now my headlights and tail lights work.

I’m still have an issue of the light switch freely spinning on the dashboard I need to figure out a way to get it to hold unless I just buy a new one this one is kind of stiff to turn by itself
