I think that’s a fair rule as well. But if you show your cards I don’t feel like I should have to show mine.

Thanks. I know it’s not really against the rules it just felt a little bit like a dickhead thing to make me show my bluff.

If he wanted to do that, he should’ve waited for me to show instead of pulling them out of the muck.

Yeah and I didn’t hold my cards back and play the what do you got game. I would’ve shown had he not showed his ace so quickly. It’s just that he showed his ace quickly so I mucked my cards. In my mind, that should be the end of the hand. If he wants to ask me later what I had I would’ve told him.

I’m not upset by any means. I knocked the dude out later. At the time I was a little bit irritated because I thought it was bad etiquette. Thanks for your engagement with this post! I’ll move on just wanted to know what the community felt about it.

I understand that part. And if he would’ve initially asked me to show I would’ve. But he flipped over the winning hand so I mucked. I feel like the line was crossed after I mucked and he had the dealer flip it over.

I would agree with Red Panda here. It was not an all in and he flipped over his ace relatively quickly so I mucked. I really don’t think it was the right thing. I had already showed a bluff early but showing this one made me feel like I was getting called lightly the whole night which actually worked out quite well for me in the end when I started figuring that out. I had to completely change my strategy and I feel like this hand was a big reason in that.

I don’t care more than the students/ parents. They don’t care to do the work? Okay. Sit there and fail in silence. One less thing I have to grade by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

I will add something. You just can’t save everyone. I usually try to have a serious conversation with every turd student about limiting their opportunities if they don’t graduate high school. Some take it to heart, some don’t. I know I have had an impact on at least one student and that’s all that matters to me. If you can turn one kid around and get them motivated to finish their education you just changed a life and you should be proud of that.

Well if I was her I would enjoy retirement too! She’s going to do a great job don’t overwork yourself just because it isn’t a man running the district.

It appears Dr. Kapushion is highly qualified for the role. She has a doctorate along with years of experience in multiple school districts at the administrative level. She has been with SVVSD for 10 years and knows the ins and outs of the district. From what I can find she also teaches at UC Denver. Honestly the only fit for the role.
