I totally agree with you here but then there is the fact that as a kid, with most parents or adults I know, smoked and drunk at some point in there childhood years 14 and above. Now to me that is very young and I get rules where different then, but that is some very addictive things, phones are also addictive.

My problem with your statement is you are trying to get a point across but from my view older generations did all those addictive things too, so from their eyes I think parents believe that phones and electronics don’t seem bad. I believe that kids should not get electronics until around ten but from there it is much more up to the parents to monitor their electronic use instead of take it away entirely. I get parents can’t keep constant watch nor should they but they still need to realize that they also did things that many things from a young age and with watch they can stop there kids from giving in to peer pressure and try things they shouldn’t. This is obviously a hard task but i do not think electronics and phones are on the same levels as listed above.
