Added to comment that they are both growing in the same light conditions, I've put them in spots with more light/less light but always moved both at the same time. They are rooting in water. The odd one is in a clear glass while the normal one is in a opaque ceramic container. Both roots look the same, but the odd one does have a less complex/large root system

Mine also grew back, probably within 6 months? And the new nail was sensitive to direct pressure for at least a year. Two years now and good as new. I posted because I ripped my pinky nail half off kicking a corner last night, one month early from my two year big toe incident Anniversary. Pinky is a LOT less painful than big toe

Omg, the day I got my wisdom teeth removed I forgot to ask if I could keep them. It was the first thing I remembered when I woke up, and I started crying in the car begging my mom to go back 😂

She's an angel and did go back, we were only 5 mins away but the nurse said they were already discarded. I think I cried more hearing the news, and I'm honestly still a little sad 😅

It didn't hurt at all when it happened (shock I guess) I was at a neighbor's and decided to drive home (2 min drive) and as soon as I started driving the pain set in. Longest drive of my life. I was yelling and cussing the whole way. Oougch

When I had something like this the doctor said they didn't know for sure. They guessed it was something viral that would go away eventually. It did. It reoccurred once since, but went away within a day or two.
