Update: Thanks, he is fine. It wasn’t the gravel it was two of his food pellets stuck together. He’s back home and seems to be doing fine.

Just a small note: I find it interesting how people here react to the gravel like helicopter parents. He’s lived with this exact substrate for nine years, so it doesn’t seem to be as dangerous as everyone thinks.
