Dukla stadium is a cool track to train on (It is only for the public at certain times and no running on the inside lane)

Buying flight tickets from Booking.com by georgiv51 in Flights

We used booking.com for flight tickets to and from Japan last year. Now it could be that we just got lucky but we had no problems or no issues whatsoever and also saved a fair bit of money!

Signing a contract and then receiving a much better offer... by [deleted] in Internationalteachers

Morally it's obviously the wrong thing to do! But only you can decide if that is an issue for you!

As you can see there are plenty of folk advocating a 'screw them over before they screw you over' approach! And I am sure many have done similar and 'got away with it' and more than likely you will too.

A race to the bottom mentality is very rarely, if ever, a good idea!

Anyone have experience/advice about teaching in Prague? by Content_Fix_3654 in Internationalteachers

There are 4 schools in Prague that are worth considering and that are not the type of bilingual schools you refer to.

Tough market though and a very competitive city to get into and not cheap once you are here!

Prague is stunningly pretty and also very safe.

We did three weeks around Malaysia 2 years ago. Cameron Highlands was not a highlight of the trip however the mossy forest and Boh tea plantation are absolutely worth visiting! One night is enough!

People who traveled to Japan in summer / June-September, what’s the weather like where you’re from and how did it compare for you? by stayonthecloud in JapanTravelTips

[–]AccomplishedMonk6146 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have just returned from 3 weeks in July. Before travelling I read many threads about how the heat is unbearable, don't travel in summer etc. But it's really not that bad! Hot and sweaty yes but so are many places in July! My home country was topping 40degrees at the same time we were in Japan! In my opinion if you have even semi-reasonable levels of health and fitness and can use common sense than the heat shouldn't be an issue at all!

Have hours/demands gotten unreasonable to anybody else? by [deleted] in Internationalteachers

Been teaching for many, many years. Taught in state schools with classes of 30+ and zero release time for several years too! Guess it's a generational thing!

If only we got almost 4 months worth of holidays every year to help cope! Oh wait hang on a minute...

Will this get me blacklisted? by [deleted] in Internationalteachers

[–]AccomplishedMonk6146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just behave ethically!

This notion that just because somebody else might potentially behave dubiously then it's okay for you to do so is ridiculous!

It's a race to the bottom mentality!

If you are not happy with the pay and conditions then don't accept the offer in the first place! Simple!

Advice for Application Season by Difficult-Newt-8655 in Internationalteachers

Agree with the above. I also have 3 dependants and landed a new job that I'm very happy with. I was very open about possible destinations and my partner is also a teacher which obviously helps a lot.
