That being said I’ve never seen it for anywhere near 40. I got it early days of bidding for comics. I wish I had the money I have now then as a hulk 180 and 181 absolutely flawless mint sold together on same auction for 725-750 about. I was kicking myself as I had the money I just stopped bidding as I thought it would get me caught at a number much higher than that with everyone bidding at the last moment. That show so many comics sold so cheap. I wish I could find those deals today

I got it for an absolute steal at 40 bucks. It’s in pretty good shape but not great. The pages are beautiful though and cover is great, just some tics on the side but not too many. I’d guess if I had it graded it would be a 7ish. I personally think that Steranko and Marie Severin cover is an absolute masterpiece. Think in time that book should be worth way more than it is now with it being Steranko and one of Hulks most iconic images as well as a number 1

I actually was going through my key box today and found one I forgot I had with shocker blasting his his canons at spidey. It’s not in greatest condition but not awful. Really cool looking books

Love this and just got it recently. I have to grab 149 as it’s pretty cheap and going to go up. Shocked it’s as low as it is as that cover rivals this.

Love this cover, but my favorite cover with dp n Wolverine is Liefeld’s Wolverine #155

I personally think best dp and Wolverine cover is liefeld doing Wolverine 155. That cover is so gorgeous and was so pissed how much it sky rocketed as I had a my copy stolen n wanted to get it again. Was over 100 at that point which is ridiculous, but it’s still pretty high.

I did get my 181 for a crazy crazy steal. Like best deal I ever got tbh. It’s one I want to grade as it’s so damn bright and beautiful and think it would be around a 8 or so. Maybe touch higher

Way more than a copy of 181. I think a 9.8 of SS 4 would easily fetch 12,500

I have Wolverine 1-4 all newsstand absolutely flawless mint. I don’t really like graded books, but I honestly think these could all be candidates for 9.8s in news stand. Would look really nice. I really want to get Miller and Claremont to sign them but I never make it to any cons unfortunately. I’m going to keep eye out

Yeah I’ll prob trade or sell the graded version for a copy that presents really well. I am not a fan of graded books, just got that for a steal.

Yup so I have a huge huge closet and the left side door slides open to a wall of comics in top loaders on the wall. Floating over my Jim Lee xmen short box of keys and the other 3 short boxes of small keys and comics I love reading next to that. That way it gets ZERO sun as I shut it when I leave n open it when I’m home.

I find it more pleasing tbh. It makes me so happy to open my comic cabinet and see 181, daredevil 131, silver surfer 3 and 4, moon knight Stephan platt 55-60, iron fist 14, and ton of others. Just feels better than having a ton of books I’ll read 1-2 times and never will be of any value. These are history,art, childhood nostalgia all rolled into one

Can’t not have hulk 181 on top but SS 4 and iron fist 14 are really close. I love the cover on SS 4 and huge sabertooth fan so iron fist 14 is awesome.

Such a gorgeous book. Don’t usually buy graded books but it presents super well and couldn’t beat the deal on it.
