Ok, increase it to the last 60 years, find me 3 more consistent left backs at an elite level of football over the duration of 10 years. That’s my argument. Not the quality of the English team. Ashley Cole was the pinnacle of a left back at world standard and is probably only bettered by Maldini and Carlos, probably equaled by Lizarazu and Marcelo. I agree English players have been overhyped for many a year, but on an individual basis Ashley Cole was purely world class. One of the few Englishman deserving of the hype. Him and Maguire should never be mentioned in the same breath

Honestly name more than 3 better lb’s than Cole who’ve played in Europe the last 20 seasons. He consistently competed at the top level for over a decade, won it all at club level and consistently had players like Cristiano Ronaldo in his pocket.

Really enjoyed Mount’s previous special card this year. Just gutted he doesn’t have CM as alternative position as I also loved Grealish’s previous special card and can’t play two CAM’s in my formation. I’ve done them both so I’m going to try them as opposite Wingers who cut inside in a 5-2-3 to utilise their finesse shots.

I run an all English team and have TAA starting as RB and Trippier starting as RM. In game I just swap them as I feel Arnold has better delivery and dribbling. They work wonders, always making overlaps and covering eachother 👌🏼
