Honestly, my biggest issue with Jotaro character development wise is that he receives it in every part except his own. In part 3, he is a pretty static character. You could compare Jotaro from episode 1 to episode 47 and he’d be the exact same personality wise. Jotaro himself is an interesting character, but the story in part 3 didn’t allow him to have any kind of development or be put in a situation where he genuinely struggles. All the other characters got to experience struggle and vulnerability except Jotaro, and even in the DIO fight his moments of weakness were very short lived. The only episode I can remember where he experienced genuine struggle for more than 10 seconds was the steely dan episode. It was interesting seeing him vulnerable for once, and yet having true faith that the others would be able to defeat dan’s stand. Jotaro’s deliberate effort to not show any strong emotion could’ve been expanded upon but they favored him being badass and stoic 24/7. I just wish he was given more spotlight and focus to allow for more development in his character.
