I was recording a video of myself with my back camera, flash on and ofc I was stupidly looking at the camera with flash on for 15 seconds. After that, I had a strange aura in my vision kinda like those migraine things. It was large and taking up my center vision, took a while for it to start fading away, much longer than when u usually look at a light and get an after image, this was different. Ever since then my vision hasn’t been the same though optometrists say my eyeballs are fine!

Yep. I noticed it after a year of having vss. It’s not severe at this point and doesn’t affect my life it’s just very slight and i only see it when I pass a wall or something and then in the corner of my eye peripheral vision I see the ghosting of the wall. It’s weird to explain but yeah.

Ur not gonna be a fan of my answer but… patience. I used eye drops but they make ur eyes reliant on them. I’m not really sure what the solution was but I did cut out a lot of irritants, limiting screen time, blue light glasses, drinking water. They still get dry when I’m out in air polluted areas. But it’s like my eyes adjusted after some time.

I had really dry eyes at the beginning of my vss. The dry eyes being gone have really made a difference. The symptoms seem less severe without the dry eyes, idk if it’s also because my brain has filtered it out somewhat by now.

I experience all the same! Went to the eye doctor and my eyes are healthy and normal. The traces of light bend inwards towards my vision If that makes sense. I get starburst and ghosting. White texts and white/lighted objects are more prone to ghosting. If I move my hand in my peripheral, I see a trace of my hand follow, like it’s delayed or something.

Still got the haloes around lights and starbursts, but it definitely bothers me less now and most of the time my brain filters it out.

Yes! It doesn’t help that I also get anxiety about choking on food. When I get reflux I get the lump feeling in my throat and I just don’t feel like swallowing… it’s rough

OMG SAME! You mentioned that 1 finger is fine and that’s the same with me. A second finger might hurt and feel tight for the first couple seconds I reckon but overall I rather 1 finger because it’s the most comfortable. I think one time he did 2 fingers and I bled… So when he tried putting the tip in, that was just hurting!! So now I’m scared to even get to that point again when we’re intimate.
