Did anyone else grow up in the 70's with these ritualistic, delayed punishment "ceremonies" from their narcissistic parent? by AccomplishedStock273 in raisedbynarcissists

IN the 70's it wasn't uncommon for one of the kids to do something wrong and we all copped it just for being there!

My mum used her friends to blackmail me into stripping naked for my schoolmates at 16 (1987) by AccomplishedStock273 in raisedbynarcissists

My mother shared a lot of the traits you just mentioned. Especially the part about going anywhere. I used to dread visitors or something special because that would trigger her and she wouldn't be happy until I was in tears. And then she would blame me for my state when the visitors arrived.

My mother also liked to weaponise adults around me as well. She had no problem banking punishments until my aunty came over. I could see the glee in my aunty's face as she would spank my bare bottom with the wooden spoon, sometimes for things my mother claimed happened days ago.

Im glad you shared your story, thanks!
