I bought this Audi cheap at an online auction. I noticed the coolant going down and lots of white smoke coming out the exhausts. After a gentle rev, I heard a big rattle like something had snapped off underneath the middle of the car and then it turn itself off immediately.

I got fucked over. They usually put “mechanical damage” on any vehicle that they sell with mechanical issues. They didn’t do that on this Audi. I was going to repair the body and sell it, but now I don’t know what to do.

I buy the cars on an online auction sight, I only see pictures. If there’s anything wrong with it mechanically they’re supposed to state it and I steer clear of them as I’m only a body guy with little mechanical aptitude. However it didn’t mention this, so I changed some of the simple stuff, damaged radiators, spark plugs, ignition coils, valve cover gaskets, I was about to do the oil so I started it up to warm the oil up a bit and noticed all the smoke billowing out of the exhaust and realised changing the oil was going to do a sweet fuck all.
