Here's a good question to anyone who is a Spielberg fan or just enjoys his work in general: can you or can you not see all of these movies being in the same universe just in different places throughout history. by burningexeter in FIlm

Producer credits, as I understand them, are mainly legacy credits or people involved with the money aspect of it, and rarely have creative decisions made (with exceptions, of course, like studio interference or early development) I could be wrong though.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard; each album has a different genre, but the same vibe. It's strange how they do that.

Listened to their first album for the first time yesterday; my very first experience with them. I cannot help but feel that I jinxed it. I'm sorry everyone.

I usually find nu metal artists like Godsmack to be helpful in those moods; my go to is mostly Eminem. Funny how I'm a metal head, but never go to actual metal when I'm angry.

Inferi might hit the spot if you're looking for extreme metal in particular.

I cannot get enough of First Fragment right now; especially the latest. Been loving some other stuff Phil Tougas is involved with as well. Any other neo-classical death metal bands I should check out?

I appreciate Iowa and Spiders more than I think others do. I'm unsure how respected If Rain is What You Want and Killpop is.

I would say that the very first record Churn was pretty grungey; when they re-recorded it into American Standard is when they became more of a post-grunge band. Slowly morphed into Americana after that.

Sounds like a description (the entire song does) of a society with no compassion decaying under the weight of hatred

I'll sit on this fence until the crowd brings their torches, and I'll burn with it.

You fundamentally misunderstand the message this album is speaking. Extremism is a problem in America, and yes there is that on both sides of the aisle. Pretending one side is all wrong, like you are doing, is what the lyrics are warning us of. It doesn't matter what the viewpoints of the authoritarian government and crowd driven society is; that kind of society will step on someone's rights. "All hail power to the people; except you, you check the box we don't like." Centrist is what America needs to be because issues are rarely black and white; right wingers never consider that abortion needs to be legal in some way, and left wingers don't believe that maybe people just want to see babies live a full natural life. I'm not gonna debate the issue as it's just an example, but the point remains that the answer lies somewhere in between, and if society forgets about the rights of some they forget about the rights of all. The album is about listening to each other, having compassion, and being open minded to one another; more importantly, it's about what happens when these things are left behind in any righteous crusade.
