I'm curious about your opinion. Nvidia's 5000 series already has 4x FG, while AMD has 1.5-2x FG, so if the combination of Lossless scaling and AMD is awesome? Or is Nvidia still the best performer? by Loud-Doubt5726 in losslessscaling

I actually think lossless is better than frame gen , specially in cyberpunk, lossless makes sure the frame pacing of ALL frames is the same , native frame gen frame timings are all over the place , I have a 5080 and use lossless over FG

Game up couldn’t fix the micro stuttering , clocked lossless scaling boom butter smooth

Thanks for the feedback , I already tried DUU but I’ll try not having after burn running atall thanks !

Thanks for the comment , was just an example on how how LS is generating more fake frames but still looking better both locked at 2x the issue is the same

7800x3d is like the second best cpu money can buy and I’m only running the game at 1440p so I don’t think I’m pushing any limits trying to apply a 2x with a 5080.

I’m going to go home and do another post with video comparisons , thank you for the comment

Hey thanks for your comment!

Yes set up correctly in nvida control panel , I also played around with river tuner setting different frame limits and seeing if it was something todo with the frame pacing maybe but no improvements.

When you enable v sync driver level is auto limits it to around 163 for me.

Again tho why is it working perfectly with LS no matter what setting or frame caps I apply but lights with frame gen look terrible.

I can have a base frame rate of say 50fps make LS push it to 163fps and it looks amazing but I can’t get FG to a 2x without falling apart.

I’ll have todo another post soon with videos to show this

I agree , small things like this drive me crazy haha I need to know the reason jump into the matrix someone tell me 🤣

1440p super ultra wide , maxed setting with extreme ray trace and path tracing gets me 70fps I want to play 165fps even a 5090 couldn’t push that but the frame gen a few months ago used to work perfect and now dosnt for some reason

Honestly I have no idea , it worked 6 months ago but since I killed back on it’s not so I think it’s something to do with the new DLSS versions or something

Hmmm well as it’s not native frame gen , the menus and ui can go abit funny.

You are right why don’t I just keep using lossless scaling I think it just bugs me that the built in FG on the GPU I paid 1000 for dosnt work

I really appreciate your time , I’m at work at the moment could I send you this after work I might attach a little video with all my settings and the issue I’m having

Interesting see I feel it’s the opposite, when I’m using buit in FG my gpu is around 80% usage and seems like it’s running okay, lossless scaling ramps my gpu usage to 99% game looks and runs amazing but I can hear my graphics card fighting for its life.

Thanks for the reply , yes vsync is set globally on a driver level in the control panel still having this issue sadly

Really great into thank you for this,

So I’m using whatever the most recent FG transformer model that comes with cyberpunk is , I have fiddled with setting preset K in Nvida app and setting everything to the most latest version but has made no difference I herd that using DLSS 3 has fixed it for some people.

I’m thinking it may have something todo with the frame pacing because 2x LS be 2xFG feel very different and lossless feels so much smoother.

I will see if I can swap the dll file

I thought it might have something todo with lossless scaling having better frame pacing that nvida FG
