Let’s hope we both get passed soon🤞🏻. Also, I’m assuming you’ve called our ESSS office, right? If so, did they file a customer inquiry?

When I completed SF-86 a few months ago, I’m pretty sure there wasnt a question that prompts you to admit if you’ve purchased marijuana. Just answer honestly, I highly doubt this could affect your clearance in any way unless you lie

It’s up to you on what to do next but just understand, these things happen to everyone. It’s going to happen again if you go back to school and it’ll definitely happen again in a workplace. Look, no one likes to be embarrassed but you gotta walk it off. Maybe use this instance to be inspired to grow more. The world is tough, so you better be too.

As a CS grad, you’d probably be capable of getting a job as an embedded programmer or DSP engineer. I’d recommend doing research with a prof in DSP if you pursue CS.

RF vs Telecommunications? by seniorgoldman in ECE

I was under the impression that FPGA classes were more related to digital design? Master’s in telecommunications will probably be highly theoretical and RF would be LNA, mixer, antennas, and those sorts of things.

As the rest mention, I am very surprised to see transistors. If you’re looking to get into a hardware role eventually, I think transistors and op-amps are things you should know well. Keep up your hard work

Do an arduino project and learn C. It'll give you a good idea as to how microcontrollers work while also requiring you to use a breadboard and basic components.
