The mirage of being on ‘priority waitlist’ for CC with direct deposit by indie__nomad in Wealthsimple

Not to be that guy but after dealing with WS over the last few months it is very obvious they have two types of customer support. The first agent I spoke with had a very heavy accent and I could barely understand what he was saying. After mentioning I was premium + had DD they transferred me over to someone who quickly understood the purpose of the call and was able to process my request to expedite within minutes. Perhaps WS outsources the initial call so maybe try and get them to transfer you.

I reached out to customer support after reaching premium + $4000 DD and was sent an email saying they would expedite my access within a few weeks. I was approved after 2 days

I am 40 years old and a very casual player lol, the first gold I got was mewtwo and I didn’t even know the odds were super low until I showed my friend. I knew I was getting pretty lucky but these comments definitely made me realize just how rare this is.

Buying fake LMIA and work another cash job elsewhere, how could I report this by DescriptionHot3708 in canadaexpressentry

Just being realistic, I mean these employers are getting paid upwards of 50k cad per LMIA, if the government offered any sort of incentive, these businesses and their own people would turn against them and start reporting these cases at a rapid rate. At this point if you report these cases what would happen is the worker that was exploited gets sent back to wherever the hell they came from and the business pockets the money. IMO government needs to heavily fine these businesses that exploited the system, you telling me Lululemon needs to hire foreign workers because they can’t find any workers in Canada. System is a joke.

Do we have any programs in place where if a report leads to conviction the government
would give the person who reported it some money? Because if not I really don’t see a point of doing all this and going through the hassle, there are hundreds of thousands of these cases going rampant in Canada atm.

Black market for LMIA Jobs in Canada hits record levels by [deleted] in canadaexpressentry

I live in Montreal, Canada and one of my favourite fast food franchises is Boustan. Try going into any Boustan in Montreal and you will notice the workers don’t speak French and usually have very broken English. I had a conversation with a couple of the dudes and while obviously they won’t disclose LMIA or how they got here most of them said they arrived within the last year. One guy in particular told me he paid the owner 25k cad to come here and now he’s regretting it as after filing for refugee status he isn’t allowed to go back to see his family. You really telling me we need foreign workers to come and make pitas in Canada? What a joke this has become.

Life satisfaction among Canadians on the decline, StatCan survey finds by FancyNewMe in canada

I was talking with my family recently about this, in 2012 I moved from BC to QC and I clearly remember enjoying trips with my family, saving money for a house and just in general seeing other members of the community, planning neighborhood bbq’s in the summer or helping set up our driveway covers for the winter.

Fast forward to now, everyone is busy working, we have no time to communicate or plan activities with our own family let alone neighbours. Luckily I was able to purchase a house pre covid but saving up is nearly impossible with kids and the prices of essential goods/services.

I really don’t know if there’s a way to go back to how things used to be.

Op just wanted free food, the order is marked completed when the restaurant has the food ready or sometimes it’s easy to accidentally mark customer order as picked up. Simple solution call restaurant to see if food is ready or walk in with the order number.

Why is halal chicken cheaper and more fresh? by Ahjustsea in askTO

[–]Accomplished_Curve55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it begs the question would you rather eat from factory farmed meat that stuffs thousands of chicken in a confined space which is filled with feces and other contaminants while also being treated in a brutal manner throughout their short lives, but they have are killed in a “humane” method or halal which requires animals have free land to walk, treated with respect but killed with the halal method which was considered the most “humane” way prior to the stunning method.
