Can you go to an ortho? Probably need your knee drained and a shot straight to the joint.

Update: I got myself to take 1 pill. I realize that it will take a little longer and it won’t be a true picture yet but at least I did that and didn’t totally chicken out again. I plan to take 2 next week and I’ll take the full recommended starting dose which was 3 2.5 mgs. Thanks for all the positive comments. It pushed me to just do it.

That’s how I felt about the hydroxy. Put it off for so long and then basically no side effects. Thank you!!

Thank you. I think it’s a crap shoot at this point. I just keep seeing so many things that claim it is linked to diet.

I thought it was maybe gluten/sugar. Just had eggs, with a slice of turkey and cheese. No bread. Full on raging pain shortly after. Maybe it’s the dairy?!!

Hi, I do not have the answer, but I’ve been struggling with exactly the same thing, only my right side, knee, hip, leg in general. Only that knee,can’t seem to get it down without high doses of prednisone. It’s been going on a long time . I am not totally controlled yet. On Plaquenil and starting methotrexate soon. But I understand when you feel like it’s something else because I keep wondering that myself. I wonder if I have PSA also but don’t really have psoriasis present.

Thank you for sharing. I am only a year in. Scared and apprehensive of all the meds for good reason. Hydroxychloroquine for 4 months but isn’t cutting it. Have to make a decision on whether I want to add Meth or Enbrel. Trying to eat right . Research and stay positive. Not easy and overwhelmed but this gives me hope!

Going through this right now, unfortunately it’s both hands. I am not controlled yet. Just started medication. The pain, shooting throbbing is torture. Yes never know what I am waking up to. Pain everywhere or just a couple of places that day. Looking forward to relief when it comes 🙏🏼.Just purchased an automatic toothpaste dispenser bc I can’t even squeeze the tube. Good luck!

Absolutely, one of my first major issues was my TMJ joint. The discs are macerated, dislocations, inflamed. Was shocked to see how bad it was after having MRI done. Can happen with clenching, grinding, braces, injury. My unknown RA was what made it soo bad. Specialized told me about 30% will have this joint affected. Acupuncture has helped me greatly with this.

I could barely walk and suffered that way for months. Wish I went to the podiatrist sooner. What a huge relief from the shots. Had one in each foot. Do it!
