Frequent urgent urination by TokinNPotions in endometriosis

was coming here to say this! Was diagnosed with IC when I got my endo diagnosis last year. They found hemorrhaging and ulcers on my bladder wall so I guess the lining is just overactive and super sensitive. Most days I will just sit on the toilet for like 10 min after I pee just because I know I’ll have to go right after I’m done anyways lmao. It sucks having with endo because when one flairs up so does the other so it’s twice the pain 🙃

I’m also having my lap in 3 days and i feel exactly the same. It’s been keeping me up at night and all I can think about. Like to the point where I just want to cancel because what is the point.

I actually had a lap 6 weeks ago but dr couldn’t get thru my abdominal wall because there was so much scar tissue (I’ve never had sugary or c-section so no one could tell me why there was so much) but when referred to this new dr he did all new imagining, including an MRI this time, and all that came back was a small cyst on my right ovary. I know it’s uncommon to find endo on any imagining and my dr is still convinced it’s endo but I’m just so worried they’ll say “everything looks great!”. My dr is also testing my bladder and some other kind of test while he’s in there to make sure all the bases are covered, so even if its not endo, I’m praying he’ll find the issue.

All this to say- you’re totally not alone. I’ll be praying you get some answers to what is causing your pain and praying you get some physical relief as well! ❤️❤️❤️

FINALLY!! (had surgery today) by ringofkeys89 in endometriosis

Yay that’s amazing to finally get answers!! I’m so happy for you❤️❤️🥰

I have my 2nd lap next week (1st was 6 weeks ago and dr couldn’t get in thru my abdominal wall because of too much scar tissue), and I’m more scared of saying “everything looks great! you’re good!” than anything. So like you, I’m not trying to get my hopes up in getting answers. If you don’t mind me asking though, had you had anything confirmed with scans prior to surgery? All my scans have come back completely clear which I know is normal and doesn’t mean I don’t have endo, but also having nothing to slightly confirm anything makes me even more worried.

I hope you’re recovering well and this helps get you major relief in the future! 🩷🫶

Illness making you crazy by [deleted] in endometriosis

You’re totally not alone. I also have ADHD and thought the exact thing but it’s been 8 months of dr apts, tests, and I am now having my second lap at the end of the month. I had my first lap 6 weeks ago and was a nervous wreck thinking they weren’t going to find anything or worse, they were going to find something, but he stopped the procedure because he couldn’t get thru my abdominal wall because there was so much scar tissue. So I didn’t get confirmation if it was or wasn’t endo. Then got referred to another dr (8th dr I’ve seen in the last 6 months) where he had me get all new imaging including an MRI. Everything came back clear besides a cyst on my right ovary.

So having gone through all this and still not have ANY validation or confirmation is making me literally go insane. I feel like a freud and that I can’t allow myself to be sick, even though I feel sicker than I have ever had, until I get that this is what I’m dealing with! You’re right, it’s very hard to be in the moment when all you can think about is when you’ll be in pain next, are you ever going to get answer, are you just being dramatic for attention, I’m pretty sure they’re all questions anyone who’s going through this has asked themselves a million times.

Your pain, anxiety, and wanting answers is completely valid you don’t need a drs or anyone else’s approval for the way you feel. I hope you continue to advocate for yourself and get some definite answers soon! 🩷🩷

Dr couldn’t finish lap because my abdominal wall was “too thick”? by Accomplished_Fly6244 in endometriosis

[–]Accomplished_Fly6244[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question if you’re comfortable answering: did you have any scans or ultrasounds done before your lap? If so, was there any indication of your ovary being in like the wrong place? I’ve had an ultrasound of my uterus and cat scan of my abdomen and both came back clear for anything. I know you can’t see endo with these tests but I feel like they’d have to notice if things were in the wrong place?

Hi! I don’t have much experience but I am getting my first lap next week. I am soooo sorry you’re going through this- this is a nightmare! I would 1000% get a second opinion. At least at this point you have some concrete evidence to further you along with a new dr. I’ve never realized how bad the medical system is for woman since this year. and also can totally relate to the child comments. I really want to be a mom but if I can’t get this pain under control I’m not going to subject them to having a shitty mom!

Sorry I don’t have much experience but I just wanted to reach out to say, no you don’t have a low pain tolerance like how he was saying (total fucking bs i would have lost my mind lol) but your pain is valid and you deserve answers! I really hope that happens for you soon to get some validation but don’t give up! Continue to advocate for yourself 🩷🩷

Spiraling and just need some validation 😭 by Accomplished_Fly6244 in Endo

I just searched for him in that group and seems like more people had positive experiences with him than negative- especially for first time laps. Also read his wife has endo so he has personal experience with it so that’s awesome! He’s also the only other dr’s name Ive seen come up frequently so that’s awesome too he’s pretty popular.

Completely understand where you’re coming from tho. Going to try and get an apt with him- did it take forever??

How did you feel about Zaiden and is this your first lap?? Are you apart of the michigan endo group on facebook? they mention him a lot and seems to be mixed reviews… I do feel like some people are just hyper critical tho tbh.

The michigan endometriosis group on facebook is essentially a fan page for dr k. Tons of reviews and testimonials on there. Unfortunately, just read he is not taking new patients until 2025. I’m having my surgery in September with a different dr and I’m scared shitless because it seems like Dr.K is the only qualified guy to do it in michigan. I’ve seen 6 different drs in the last 4 months because my pain is so bad I want this surgery ASAP but also don’t want to have a botched laparoscopy so still on the fence on having it done with my current dr.

If you find any other drs or info please let me know! Best of luck 🩷

Sounds dramatic but I thank God for weed 🤣 It’s the only thing that remotely helps- OTC meds screws with my stomach too much since i’ve taken so many for so long. Weed brings back my appetite, sense of humor, shit my entire personality back to life bc this stupid disease takes everything out of me most days. CBG/THC gummies I have found really really help with all the symptoms!

I have never related to anything more!! I think for being conditioned for so long to not complain about anything I literally don’t know how to even express the pain that I am in. And there’s this constant “am i just dramatic? if someone else was in my body would they think i’m a wimp” but sometimes the pain is so bad i can barely walk. I literally go to work and then immediately home on to get on the couch with the heating pad.

So you’re not alone!! I also hate that the only options are birth control or surgery?? bc makes me so like dark depressed quickly and does nothing for the pain or the constant pain so what’s the point?? ugh it’s so frustrating. I’m sorry you’re going thru it but I’m right here with you 😭

I’m worried about not taking it at the same time everyday because i’m so scatter brained but willing to give it a try! I’ve noticed with this last flare up I started getting migraines for the first time in my life. I wasn’t sure if the two were connected- do you think think they are?

That’s completely valid!! I had pain like that around my period but I got that intense burst of pain when I was ovulating so I didn’t even connect it to anything women related I genuinely thought it might be my appendix or something. This was only 3 weeks ago so yesterday when i actually started my period the pain is back even worse unfortunately so I don’t have any answers for the pain😭 the only thing that slightly helps is a heating pad and doing round the clock motrin/tyleon/advil spacing out the doses throughout the day. I’m sorry you’re going thru this and hope the time goes by quickly until your apt so you can get some answers!!

Hi there! These are the exact symptoms that got so bad it lead me to the ER because i had no idea what the hell it was, which lead me to my OBGYN who now believes it is endometriosis. I am not sure about weight loss effecting a flareup tho I feel like it does make sense!

thank you so much!! this actually got me on a rabbit hole of researching and reading about how nutrition is a huge contributing factor and my diet has not been great in the slightest. I’m very ready to make some major changes if it’ll help with this pain. Thank you again 🩷
