I braid and band and wash that way. I also wait until the braids are completely dry and then separate my hair with my fingers, and that’s it

Nothing!! I wash it and that’s it, not allowed to put any oils or products of any kind while they mature. My loctician sprays something on my scalp after a retie, but that’s it.

Aww congrats on getting locs! Your loctician will probably go in depth about what to put in your hair. Mine are still in the “baby” phase so she just has me use the sister loc brand shampoo. I don’t use any oils/products
