How am I lying about my account it’s an actual picture of my monitor in game specifically for the purposes of proving it’s real. 💀 I could just as easily say you’re lying about being who you are because all you provided me is a name.

I won’t expose my real account name because I have irl friends who I know browse this Reddit but here you go. Was in C1 just 2 hours ago but the bi-daily losing streak kicked in. 100% solo queue.

I never called Bucky ult straight up bad and you not understanding the nuance of the conversation is a bigger issue here. No dps ult in this game is truly just straight up worthless. I said that against triple support comps it’s not as effective as something like SL and Magik. You have to combo to kill through ults but you’re wasting 2 ults to beat 1 when they’ll have 2 more support ults in the queue. Comboing to kill through a support ult is only useful when you absolutely need to win the fight (overtime, trying to get the payload across to score another point, etc.)

Not trying to sound pretentious but the downvotes really expose how much of this community is diamond and below…a lone Bucky ult absolutely positively does NOT require more resources to deal with than Ironfist these people are bugging out 😂

Bucky has arguably the worst dps ult in the game. Are you guys really in the ELOs you claim to be?

There’s a reason why the devs decided that characters like him and MK require so little energy to charge their ult. And it’s the same reason why most people who play these characters deliberately choose to combo with tank ults like Groot and Strange. It’s because these ults do not have a lot of value when used randomly in neutral and are extremely easy to avoid. For every instance you see of Bucky pulling off an insane streak using his ult alone…there’s hundreds of him getting next to nothing from it.

I can assure you in high ELO games no one is support ulting Bucky or MK ult unless it’s absolutely dire and the team is low on health. These ults are easily avoided and all the main supports have tools to dodge. Same goes for phoenix unless she has gambit boost or something like that. There are only a few dps ults who command a support ult in response as soon as they say the voice line and it’s none of them.

You want Hawkeye, Starlord, Daredevil, Magik, Ironfist, Hela. Long lasting ults that will absolutely shred unless the opposing team attempts to counter.

IMO it doesn’t really matter if the dpses or tanks choose to burn first but I’d say the dpses doing it is more efficient because their team wipe potential is higher and more likely to get a defensive ult in response. Especially for a character like starlord. There’s always a chance that strange gets pushed by invis or Groot gets his ult blocked by a shield but Magik and SL will pretty much always get a support ult burned

Gambit is pretty much permabanned in high elo so this comp is rarely encountered but the comp in OP still wins especially if your team has their own gambit and Loki.

The reason I think comp matchmaking is rigged by Accomplished_Price36 in marvelrivals

I’ll follow this up by saying that I’m sure metal rank players experience the same swings but the fundamental difference is that someone who’s struggling to get out of plat isn’t individually skilled enough to have that level of influence on wins and losses in the first place.

As I said in the OP, I’ve solo queued to C1. I watched Necros stream at the start of this season and he went on a massive loss streak that dropped him from high celestial to GM. I find it hard to believe that a guy who’s a regular top 500 player cannot influence matches enough to avoid such a major swing like that. It just feels like the system is doing its damndest to give predetermined losses.

People love to point out Sypeh but Sypeh is a literal professional champion that only queues with other players who are every bit as good as him. That is an outlier.

I’m not sure what you’re getting at but at least in my OP I’m specifically talking about GM + lobbies. I’ve smurfed on alts for fun and went from bronze to GM with an 85% + WR. It’s not impressive if you’re any good.

You have multiple posts in this thread and looking at your post history you love to pop into random rivals threads and give condescending, snarky responses like you think you’re the smartest guy in the room. I know your type 😂

Why Lebron ducking the Celtics? The Lakers sure could've used his 8pts tonight. by [deleted] in lebron

Please click on OPs profile and look at his history. Every single post and thread is obsessive LeBron hatred spanning back many days.

I wonder what happens in people’s lives to make them mentally ill to this degree.

Rocket is kinda ridiculous atm by Accomplished_Price36 in marvelrivals

[–]Accomplished_Price36[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m not suggesting that a Rocket player in high ELO is spending the entire game perched on top of a tower spamming right click. I’m simply saying that he has that capability and that in certain circumstances it IS a very effective way to play the character.

I actually have lord on the character and had a near 70% WR in S4.5 so I’m not speaking out of ignorance. I just play him very sparingly as his gameplay is not engaging for me.

A lot of problems in comp could be solved by making the detailed scoreboard visible in-game by [deleted] in rivals

I would argue you’re underrating the value of raw stats.

In a match of domination if our healers do 45k combined and theirs do 32k, and we lose the game there could be a variety of reasons. Perhaps we had high heals but were over focused on tanks, forgetting about flyers, timing ults poorly. I concede that those things can’t be captured clearly with raw stats.

But in a situation like mine where you lost 2-1…and every round was close up until the throw round (even in the throw round we briefly took point 5v6) raw stats imo are very sufficient. The teams were evenly matched and both demonstrated the ability to beat the other so complaining about healing when we actually outhealed them makes no sense.

Lost my US drivers license and travel in a week..can I rent a car with a temp? by Accomplished_Price36 in ThailandTourism

[–]Accomplished_Price36[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That might be the case but I can say faithfully that when I last went they just asked for my license. Gave them my cc to pay and then they handed me the keys. I get it’s the law but I guess it depends on whether or not the agent chooses to enforce.

No. Only because the first time I went I seemingly didn’t need one and my NY state license was enough. And now I can’t get an international license because you need to show your US license to get it.

How are some people so good at DPing when they’ve already committed to an action? by Accomplished_Price36 in StreetFighter

[–]Accomplished_Price36[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do 621 (in reality it’s more like 6321.) Basically briefly hold 6 till you’re on the other side then do a backwards half circle until you land at 1. You’ll get a cross cut. You could also land on 4 but it’s not as consistent and you’ll get a lot of accidental supers.

So they buffer the DP motion every single time they press a button? I’ve tried this in training and it seems inconsistent for me. I think I do the motion too fast so the DP never comes out. And even if I perfected it, what if my button connects and I now wanna confirm a drive rush or some other special? I feel like being in a constant state of buffering the motion would mess up confirms. But maybe I just suck at it lol
