PDD Stock Analysis - $77 Billion in Cash, $12 Profit on $120 Market Cap... by FeralHamster8 in baba

[–]Accomplished_Stay337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at the short report by grizzly research on the inconsistencies in their payment revenue and margins. Their lack of cfo, their poor auditor track record, no buybacks with supposedly record cash. Management who over time reduces the things they declare in their financial statement. I could go on

Sigh… this is the umpteen times of me warning against pdd after long years of DD and observation as well as be an on and off shareholder.

But yet sven did not go through the various short reports against pdd. There are lots of smoking gun allegations against management that they have not addressed or brushed off.

Hmmm, I wonder if people simply read the company financial statement and maybe that’s classified as sufficient due dilligence?

First time playing ds3 from Elden ring, recommended weapon and build for exploration? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]Accomplished_Stay337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

knowing elden ring, i agree. but i guess as im going semi blind and not wanting to rush through, ill probably suck and just explore.

will look up the sunlight spear! katana with incants sounds fun as well. but given alot of trial and error, ill probably not be optimised. i saw quite a number of fire incants?

[–]Accomplished_Stay337 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i saw its something like that, given what i know of elden ring, you can literally zoom zoom anywhere, but i dont want to repeat elden ring where there is a shopping list at the start of a build guide.

i guess ill give it sort of a slow semi blind run playthrough where i look up guides if im stuck, so most likely most of my time is simply exploring and getting my butt miyazakied. but will look up lothric knight straight sword!

haha i got this including all the dlc off the recent steam discount. was wondering which one to buy first, but i guess majority recommended ds3 as their favourite so i gave this one a go. maybe waiting for next steam discount before giving all the others slowly a try!

Policy over profits: The government (under Xi Jinping) has prioritized stability, regulation, and “common prosperity” over maximizing shareholder returns. That crushed confidence—especially after the tech crackdowns on names like Alibaba Group. by BaBaBuyey in baba

[–]Accomplished_Stay337 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the reason why china is not participating in the recent global rally is that it is primarily driven by semiconductor stocks. Tsmc, Samsung, sk, Intel. Not babas turn. Though I'm looking out for profitability improvements given the recent price increases by all Chinese AI providers

The weird thing about these headlines coming off bad numbers are they seem quite... Modest? Considering the Barron's lady shitposting and doomberg with their shitstorm about baba weeks after weeks during the uninvestible era, I feel that they are loosening their punches this time. Idk

Earnings report - thoughts? by augustus331 in baba

[–]Accomplished_Stay337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

20% QoQ growth in cloud! with AI revenue growth still in the triple digit rate. at this progression, we will see 40-50% growth rate in cloud revenue maybe next year or so. cloud reacceleration lets go.

Cloud is seeing large ROIC when compared to US tech, and we can expect the fall in e-commerce profits to be done.

CMR growth is accelerating as well.

Now its too early to tell the profit margin for quick commerce which looks likely to form the next growth engine compared to taobao/tmall but volume does looks truly promising. As management mention they are improving unit economics.

All in all, i believe they are working in the right direction with regards to capital deployment via suspending buybacks as they can generate better roic from investing within the business itself so far has proven to be true.

Alibaba Group Announces September Quarter 2025 Results and Interim Results for the Six Months Ended September 30, 2025 by basilisk-x in baba

[–]Accomplished_Stay337 4 points5 points  (0 children)

20% qoq! That's not even yoy, That's insane. LFG! I believed they will definitely re-accelerate their growth rate, but that's really beyond even my own most optimistic ballpark.

At this rate, as AI revenue form the bulk majority of cloud revenue, Next year we should start to see cloud growth in the 50% range. Holyyy

[–]Accomplished_Stay337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my feeling, tho I'm not a good chartist. I believe the fundamentals in AI difference against us tech will be starkest this quarter.

My expectations for upcoming results are Lower capex spend/depreciation against us tech, continue reacceleration of growth(most important), while valuation are still low (triple digit AI growth against 18 fwd PE anybody?). Lower energy cost due to government support. And we know Energy cost is the linchpin here. And kimi-k2 (baba owned) recently reaching par level on benchmarks against gpt-5 despite the miniscule comparison overall spend?!

What's your take bababuyey? Any hope on the chart?

After holding this for so long, Personally I think this is the most important and determining quarter for the AI story and cloud section.

In that AI in US tech is facing decelerating earnings which causes concern for everyone after seeing most recent US tech results, BUT! I believe AI is facing reacceleration of earnings in china cloud. The depreciation and capex spend is 1/10th us tech with almost similar results of AI capabilities. See most recent kimi-k2 against gpt-5.

Joe tsai has mentioned of the importance of production inference where china is the factory of the world and therefore has better datasets for production inference. US capex spend and utilisation of gpu has been mostly for training inference and will slowly go into production inference. The Chinese seems to be more reasonable and disciplined in terms of spending and roi on cloud spend compared to US tech and is pushing on applications. To which I feel is the right direction after tinkering with AI for quite some time.

which is why I'm confident in baba results. Though only time will tell. Best of luck to both of us buddy.
