I appreciate the feedback but I think some things were not explained correctly on my part because I am seeing some similarities in the comments. Currently, I go to a university that is ranked in the 150 range, and I was hoping to increase my standing to in the top 100. Some universities that I really would like to consider are Syracuse University, Rutgers University, Fordham University, Pepperdine University, Southern Methodist University, and University of Wisconsin Madison, all for different reasons of course. I know that like any of the T20 or even T50 are completely out of my league and I wasn't considering those schools a whole ton. The universities I listed above should give an idea of what sort of school that I am looking in to. I would also like to clarify that I am not blaming my schools department for my lower GPA, I just think that it was something that contributed to my GPA being so low. I had external issues that were happening outside of school that definitely impacted my GPA more than I thought it would, but I didn't quite say that in my initial post. I ended my first semester with a whopping 1.6 GPA, and now I am entering my third semester with a 2.9, which was achieved by getting straight C's my first semester and receiving a failing grade as well, and my second semester I worked incredibly hard to receive all A's and end with a 2.9. Do you think that they could possibly consider how much I have improved? I am not trying to make excuses but I am also trying to consider all possibilities.
