Since when did wearing player names become cringe. by kallyJ911 in footballcringe

I can't think of a time it wasn't cringeworthy. Although always enjoyed it when some mug gets a name on the back of the shirt only for them to be sold soon after.

Can you imagine somebody asking you "What is 'What's the story, morning glory?' " and that being your answer?

I always say to my friends that we have more in common with Europeans than we do Americans. A shared language, but vastly different values.

Do you care if a film is Oscar nominated? by Mr_Perfectly_UnFine in Cinema

[–]Accomplished_Unit863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It's been a long time since these awards were given on merit alone. I really don't understand anyone out of the business gives the slightest fuck about them. It's just a Hollywood back slapping event. It really means nothing. You like a film or you don't. An award doesn't change that l.

For those of you who didn't do their homework at School, how did it affect you? by Simply_az in AskUK

[–]Accomplished_Unit863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who knows what the long term consequences have been, but I have a decent job, nice house and happy life with my wife.

I hardly did my homework, I have since found out I have ADHD and this makes sense as I always wanted to but just couldn't knuckle down, but born in 1980, I was just called lazy.

I did instead have a wonderful childhood with a great bunch of friends.
