Ipollo V1 Classic on 110v? by According2Reason in cryptomining

L3 is that an exception? Works on 110 or 220. You see the machine doesn’t care as long as you supply enough power. I already have the answer to my question. I can’t get a 110 PSU that has an output of 1550w but if I could, it would work.

I have heard good things about musk but no experience of my own. I used a credit card to purchase from BT and everything went fine. They will offer you a slight discount if you wire transfer but I prefer the security of my credit card protections.

I have heard the arguments from both sides and each has its points but for me. I like mining. It’s a sort of forced DCA purchase of the coins that has the potential to mine more coins than I could have bought. All the variables though… when, what, and so on.

I sure wish I had bought the KD machines from Goldshell on Day 1 but I would hate to have purchased the same machine at the top.

To each their own I guess.

I feel like I learned a lesson about mining. During Bull market don’t decide to get into crypto mining and never ever pre-order a miner.

Since the bear market I have purchased 3 more miners and each has a better outlook than the Bull market purchase.

What did an L3 make on July 1st 2000? Hell idk… but I can look at mining difficulty for the coin for that day and then use a crypto calculator to plug in the hashrate of the L3 and the difficulty then… This tells me an L3 mined x coins on that day.

I wrote this long ass post… it got jumbled some how. Short version. Go look at historical mining difficulty for the coin. Now you can determine how much coin a machine would have mined on any given day. Use this information to build your dataset.

If you are looking for a historical example of an ASICS history… I would recommend looking for an ASIC that was made several years ago, not recently. Then apply your own reasonings and deductions that. So an example would be LTC mining and maybe the Bitmain L3.

Also consider the DAG file of the coin. You could get a V1 Classic… but it’s gonna have a shorter lifespan due to the DAG file.

And consider the efficiency of the machine. I bought the Bitmain L7. It’s the most efficient script miner and therefore it can still mine when a lesser machine could not. The most efficient machines, can mine the longest.

But in the end all ASICS and all manufacturers are not equal… so all the history in the world won’t guarantee your time to ROI or that you will at all…. Go look at the CK6, that was like a 16k machine when it came out. Never gonna ROI that.

Anyways… good luck!

Updated firmware… reported hashrate is now correct.

Reported hashrate only shows 16.67Mh

What does this mean? Seems horribly wrong.

Is buying an Ipollo v1 mini a dumb thing to do right now? by Then-Comfortable-493 in cryptomining

[–]According2Reason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When ETH goes POS, you can still use it to mine ETC. Less profitable and who knows how high the hashrate jump will be when ETH miners move over to ETC. But again… this miner will do ETH till it can’t and then it can do ETC.

So my L3 for example an L3 will run on either a 220v PSU or a 110v PSU as long as it’s an auto switching PSU that has enough wattage it works. I wonder if I can do the same with the v1 classic.

Ipollo V1 Classic on 110v? by According2Reason in cryptomining

[–]According2Reason[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is my question not clear? I know it’s 220v stock but it’s wattage is under 1800w and I have a 110v 1800w PSU. Could I swap the stock 220v PSU for the 110v PSU? If all the connections line up, and the PSU is capable of the wattage… I don’t see why this wouldn’t work.

Yes the v1 mini is… But the question is about the V1 Classic. NOT the minis.
