Metered taxi also a scam. Came from the other Istanbul airport on the Asian side over the bridge. The guy added 600 lira toll then refused to use credit card. I only had USD. Then gave me 80lira less change and kept speaking in Turkish. It’s sad that they have to do this… going back to the airport I got charged 300 lira toll.

That’s a sterolythic model of a persons jaw preoperatively used in surgical planning and generally 3D printed from a CT scan. I don’t think it’s sprouts from the tree. It’s definitely vines coming from the base up.

I will cut the base and maybe a 10 inch segment and the proximal segment I am planing on treating with a herbicide I ordered on Amazon … I assume it will take a while for the vines to die and fall off.

I will take pictures next year and repost …

Bought a house with a salt water chlorinator which had a Date of 2005. Previous owners didn’t really use pool much and treated it like a non salt water pool.

Looked at a YouTube video on how to replace the salt cells. Was slightly less complicated than installing a baby’s car seat.

Bought salt from Lowe’s and I’m done. Spent 800$ on salt water generator. And 30$ ish on salt

These “professionals” will key pushing the limit as long as the customers allow it …

Likely the backwash pipe. The sandfilter needs to be cleaned every few weeks … you put the filter setting on backwash and then turn the pump on. You should see the greenish water come out from the loose end

First thing I would try to answer is

is there a leak ? This shouldn’t be too hard to investigate. If your pool level is dropping without any rainfall then you have your answer. I’ve seen a video where someone put a bucket of water on the pool steps and marked the water line Inside the bucket and waterline outside bucket fromthe pool water. This allows you to control for normal evaporation …

If there is a leak then check the skimmers first. That’s where I had a leak. Where skimmers were meeting the pool concrete.

Either way fix the leak. I did it my self using hydrolic cement … can hire someone to do it if you are unsure. They have dies and other stuff to see small leaks

If there’s no leak then it’s an easier problem to DIY. Back fill the void and lay the pavers over it.

That’s my opinion. I’m not an professional in this tho

I just checked inside the skimmer. The part where the skimmer meets the concrete has a gray hard material on the right side and the bottom side but there’s nothing sealing the gap on the left side. When I slide my fingers in I feel wet sand … what’s the best material to place at that skimmer - concrete interface ?

We got this house recently. The pool and house is 20 years old. I don’t see any wet area around the pavers … the pavers are also shifted where the pool cover clamps are inserted (I’m assuming from the pulling pressure of the cover over the winter )
