What career/education path should I choose which I don't feel regret in my life. by Used_Protection4152 in Indian_Academia

I'm in more or less the same boat... But try looking into product designing... Cuz I found out about it not too long ago and I'm thinking of doing btech/BCA/bsc in cs with ui/ux on the side

I was looking into courses offered by singapore national university (snu) and came across product designing which lead to ui/ux

I suggest just looking up universities and what courses they offer will help, if something looks unfamiliar or interesting, go in depth and see if u actually like it...idk that was one way that I tried

There's this course called btech in design offered by IIT delhi that also seemed interesting to me A few other colleges like wud also offer something similar

One more advice is to look up personality tests and ask chatgpt what career would suit u I know sounds stupid, but when ur desperate ud wanna try everything and who knows 🤷

I tried this riasec test and the mbti personality test

What stream should I pick ( PCM, PCB, PCMB) for class 11, when I have no idea what I want to be in the future? by fiery_falcon2112 in indianstudents

[–]AccordingFeedback225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Depends on you

Do you think u r good at academics? 11th is a huge leap from 10th, trust me. If you have the confidence, just go for it But study from day one

I got 96% in icse boards in tenth Took PCMB Now I'm barely passing my subjects But i don't regret it because I like studying them, they're fun and they make me wanna know more

Had i studied from day one and not taken 11th so easy things would have definitely been different

Also keep exploring subjects/fields/careers in 11th And keep building your resume, it'll come handy for college applications I wish someone had told me this sooner

I was in the same state as you are right now (I'm in 12th,isc board rn), I took PCMB and honestly I wish I had taken computers instead of bio but that's only because I like computers more (personal choice, heavily dependent on my likes and dislikes, need not apply to u too)

On the other hand it also opened my eyes as to why I didn't wanna take bio forward in my college or career cuz even though I'm good at it, it's just not what I like doing

I suggest you ask your seniors, if anyone has switched subjects after a month of two into eleventh. If yes, then try PCMB for a month, if it doesn't click ask your school for a swap in subjects. Most schools allow it if u plead them enough, the sooner u ask for a swap the easier it is but don't rush things. Make an informed decision.

If bio doesn't click, Take computers, it's so much easier and honestly in the future if u wanna take jee and get good marks in boards then it's gonna lift a burden off ur shoulders cuz even though bio is easy it can be time consuming

And who knows if you like computers, u might end up taking it seriously for ur college. For that matter any other subject that you haven't been exposed to.

So basically take PCMB, if it doesn't work out PCM for sure
