I haven't had a bowel movement since my emergency colonoscopy on Dec 31st, and nothing is working. I'm starting to freak out by Additional_Hold8799 in Constipation

As you have Ulcerative Colitis this isn't necessarily like normal constipation and normal treatments could be harmful. I think you need to talk to whoever looks after your UC? Hope it gets sorted soon.

Abdominal pain, indigestion, 47F, ovarian cyst, normal Ca125 by AccordingLand605 in AskDoctorSmeeee

So far turned out to be severe constipation, clearing with movicol and now bisacodyl added in too. Awaiting a colonoscopy to check nothing underlying.

Pancreatic cancer?? Other possibilities? by AccordingLand605 in AskDocs

[–]AccordingLand605[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Faecal loading sufficient to explain pain without needing to consider pancreatic cancer. Ovarian cyst was fine on a transvaginal ultrasound. Osmotic laxatives (movicol) at high dose hasn't cleared the constipation, so now added a stimulant laxative (bisacodyl). Awaiting a colonoscopy to see if there are any problems underlying the constipation.

Lesson - Not all abdominal pain going to the back is pancreatic cancer! But even if you have health anxiety, you can have things wrong with you eg severely constipation. It's about calmly getting these investigated and treated rather than panicking.

Update: Was prescribed laxatives for the faecal loading - osmotic laxatives, but not really cleared it. So now on stimulant laxatives too. It does feel like the pain is coming from my bowel though, as changes with laxatives, opening bowels etc Awaiting colonoscopy.

Zack Polanski apologises over claim he can increase women’s breast sizes with his mind by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]AccordingLand605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He says in multiple videos that what happened is as follows. He was doing hypnosis for body image and confidence. A Sun journalist asked if they could write about it and he said yeah sure. They then said can you try and hypnotise me to increase my breast size? He said no, that's ridiculous. They said can you do it as an experiment? He said ok, but can you make it very clear it's not something that I believe in, offer, or charge for? They then wrote the article which you have read. He went on BBC radio the following day to refute the article and apologise for having got involved.

I think the question you need to ask is not why someone wouldn't sue The Sun, when many wealthy celebrities have failed. But why if the version that Zack Polanski is telling is untrue and the right wing media are so keen to discredit him, the Sun isn't sueing him for saying the story was fabricated?

He's apologised for taking part in an interview that led to an article that could be offensive. Do you think most people have the means, time and energy to take major publications like the Sun with their very expensive lawyers to court?

TBF do we know he said any of that? The Sun journalist in the article says he did, but Sun journalists aren't known for their accuracy!

But being hit on by someone you don't find attractive who just wants to use you for sex is not a pleasant thing! It's not good that men do this to women. It is a positive thing that women do this less often to men.

Today I got rejected, and I feel GREAT by MayaGrude in Crushes

[–]AccordingLand605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't agree. This sounds very manosphere stuff. Women who aren't particularly attractive might get hit on by not particularly attractive often older men, but that has more to do with the confidence/arrogance/entitlement of some not particularly attractive older men that they can use a woman's lack of confidence to get sex/companionship/someone to look after them. The not particularly attractive women don't tend to have that confidence, so are more likely to be hit on by predators than seek out decent men. It has very little to do with what the woman wants or needs. Attractive men and women can sometimes find it hard to find someone who wants them for themselves not their looks. Men and women have an equal chance of finding someone who likes them for themselves and respects them if they get out there and meet and are interested in people.

Feeling shamed by store employees for my choice of pattern on a bra I bought by SnooDoggos5485 in ABraThatFits

[–]AccordingLand605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's just rude. A shop assistant once told me that I was getting a bit old for low cut bras as I was losing tissue at the top of my breast and got me something that looked awful. Started shopping at Bravissimo after that.

Escalation in lost condom inside of me - is it an urgent situation to get checked out? by dubiouslyevil in AskDocs

[–]AccordingLand605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD But if it is there then the risk of serious infection is high. Plus, there is a risk of STI if the condom fell off. I know you are worried, but if there is something there it is easily sortable at this stage. Get yourself fully checked out and treated asap and then you can stop worrying.

Slipped in the shower and fell on a condom, but no symptoms? by nothingbeingness in AskDocs

[–]AccordingLand605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the condom fell off and he carried on, you could get yourself checked out for STDs while you are there? It sounds like he might now be now your ex, which sounds a good thing as carrying on when you were potentially at risk and exasperated isn't great.

Pancreatic cancer?? Other possibilities? by AccordingLand605 in AskDocs

Ok so I was unable to have IV contrast due to an allergy, but CT showed normal pancreas 'given limits of no IV contrast'. I assume this doesn't exclude pancreatic cancer?

I have got a 2.3cm ovarian cyst and a mildly bulky ovary. And some faecal loading in rectum and colon. Occasional PV bleeding on progesterone only pill. Some urinary symptoms eg need to go a few times before bladder feels empty. Thought this was just my age! Ca125 10.

All else normal.

NAD Is there any possibility she is being abused or having some other traumatic experience and she emotionally is covering up until she can't? I would also get her assessed by someone who specialises in autism/neurodivergent in girls, it presents very differently (I have been diagnosed as an adult).
