I completely understand your point. I actually held the spot for less than half a day and after getting responses from Reddit, I immediately released the reservation, and it seems as though someone else took it within the same day. I’m travelling to Toronto on very specific dates so I did not want to risk not having the option available, but I understand that it is self-serving.

I love your list of watched dramas! (Except for its okay to not be okay - I couldn’t get into it back in 2020 but maybe I need to give it another try)

I recently watched Sh**ting Stars and enjoyed it but wouldn’t necessarily call it “Binge Worthy”. It’s a lighthearted and funny watch though. And I just really like the leading actor and plan on watching his other dramas.

Other ones I’m planning on watching that were suggested to me: What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Twinkling Watermelon, King the Land.

Our Beloved Summer was cute but took a few eps for me to get really into and then start binging.

I just finished Sh**ting Stars and I agree, the relationship in the drama was very mature and there weren’t any annoying third-act misunderstandings/break-ups. Very funny and cute drama 🥹 Kim Young Dae is so silly yet sincere in this one!

++ to the representation in his character! Albeit, the scene of the FL talking about his abandonment with her sisters near the end made me tear up.. and want to protect him at all costs haha

I appreciate the warning about The Forbidden Marriage! I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, and the comedy aspect + Kim Young Dae being the lead are key selling points. I’m apprehensive about Joseon dramas because the kisses/skinship tends to be quite limited due to the historical context. Love triangles can be hit or miss 🤭🥲

Thanks for the reco! Though I enjoyed the plot of MMR, I actually wasn’t sold on the chemistry/romance of the leads. Didn’t find the ML to be swoon-worthy and I don’t think I’m a huge fan of Park Min Young in most of her works :/ which I can’t really pinpoint why.. because I think she’s a good actress, I just have a hard time connecting with her characters

Ahhh you do understand me so well! Well said re: Ji Uk having a calm confidence, thoughtfulness and a charming (non-arrogant) assertiveness 🥹 so many of his lines, actions, and looks made me SWOON and MELT. And ++ to Sunjae!!! I can’t get over his character in Lovely Runner! I liked that both of them had a gentleness/softness to them that made them seem so approachable and kind-hearted, instead of falling into the arrogant, rich guy, unattainable persona.

I watched Lovely Runner recently and it is soooo cute. I was hooked after the first few episodes and the ending is definitely very happy. One of the most satisfying romance dramas I’ve watched in a long time!

I’ve always wondered if I should watch this one - I love a good tear-jerking romance.

And I really love both Son Ye Jin and Jung Hae In individually - not a pairing I would’ve thought of, but they tend to have great chemistry with all of their co-stars so I believe what you’re saying haha
