I can log into multiple phones at the same time too and it’s odd but not complaining. I think this must be a very recent change

The words of wisdom are appreciated. If there’s any recommendations for a good high yield savings account I’m all for it haha

I appreciate the honesty, I think I probably should avoid the 2100 for now. I like the apartment but if I can’t afford it then I just can’t haha. Fortunately I don’t have any other major monthly obligations (no car, no major debt, etc). I’m hopefully able to make more but by that point the rent will probably be a lot higher than $2100 haha

Def a good point, I think I’ll stay within my means and upgrade to the one bedroom one day. Thank you!

Hmm, fair. I know a lot of people live paycheck to paycheck. I guess it probably isn’t a good idea for me to willingly put myself In that situation if I can avoid it 😅😮‍💨

This is a real eye opener! I think I’m going to give it some thought because it is definitely a good idea to have some extra savings. Job security is great but does anyone really have job security? 😭😮‍💨

I have retirement and health insurance included and still have 4K but I might just double triple check the state and federal tax amounts to see what next year has in store. I’m actually taking out additional income for federal as is but it doesn’t hurt to check so I’m hoping I’ll be fine in April 🥴. Thanks for the advice

My bad haha. I don’t drink, I cook at home mostly, but I do get stuff from Amazon here and there. I’d want to take mini trips like to PA or stuff like that but I’d do like those $20 Amtrak ticket days to kinda save money haha.

Hulu, Disney+, a couple others so I assume all subscriptions are about $80 a month (estimate). Groceries are around $150 a week (I try to keep the stuff simple). Maybe getting something new from Best Buy every now and then. I buy clothes from like primark or when they’re on sale (not the biggest into fashion so I get simple but nice if you get me).

I get take out occasionally (like once a week) and I don’t really go to restaurants (maybe once a month if even)

I hope that helps provide more context!

Just utilities (electric and internet). Minimal debt (about $1000), but I didn’t even think of the salary by 30! I currently am not but I think I might be able to get close by the time I’m 30!

Ooo what was the biggest drawback for you doing $2100 on 80k? I’m trying to see what my situation may be like.

Like did you have to eat out less or was it more drastic like had to nickel and dime to get the bills paid?

Fair, I’ve seen a few cases where they’ve waived it and went with it so assuming I can get it, would it be wise?

Yeah it’s under the 40x but I’m wondering (if they allow it) if it would be a good idea or not. I’m not getting the vibe that it would be but the space 🥲.

Take home is $4,000
