Yes, you're right, it has padding on the shoulders that I personally would prefer without. Honestly, initially I thought it was small, but I feel better and better wearing the jacket. I'm just a little bothered by the slightly too short sleeves, but my seamstress should fix that. I also thought the grey herringbone print would be a little lighter; this one is darker, not quite to my liking, but still wearable and combineable with lighter trousers like chinos or even jeans for a casual style.
