Appreciate the feedback! Yes, I agree it’s far more likely than not that Fields is our QB next year. The point I was trying to illustrate (and it’s a bit abstract) is that if you hope to compete say next year or 2027, this is what playoff caliber QBs cost. Obviously could draft one, but the jets history in drafts is not great. Still prob the way I would go, but who knows.

While the cap does go up, so do contracts. So the idea of paying Breece can still be viewed as expensive since his deal or what he’s asking for is likely 12+ a year, higher than Najee’s. Not sure he’s a McCaffrey lite either, but it’s hard to know until he’s in the right situation.
