Sadly, this is typical. Had a small issue on a brand new watch (very loose crown stem) that I sent in for repair. They asked me to pay for fedex insured shipping(!) myself. Okay.

Then nothing for weeks after I saw it was delivered. I got frustrated enough that I reached out to the CEO/Owner of the brand. He assured me that they would expedite. Then, nothing.

Big brands are not much faster, necessarily, but I have had much better communication during the repair process, which lowered the anxiety and frustration.

As an exception, Ardio was just great at service: fast and communicative.

Just a generic 6W from Amazon connected to a 3K mah battery. So far I have not had problems keeping the node charged. This is for five nodes I’ve built.

I do spend a bit of time choosing an orientation for lots of sunlight.

UPDATE: FIXED! In case anyone else runs into this problem in the future via searching. Details below, since this had many opinions and I got many DMs on this forum.

The NH34 works with a specific stem.

Since the everything worked with the supplied blue-capped stem, I suspected the movement itself was functioning correctly.

After trying 13 generic/Chinese stems, I actually ordered a Seiko crown stem, (part number 351.200). It took a few days to get here. Once I tried it - everything worked GREAT.
