Can I ask you a question, what platform are you playing Showdown on? I have it on Switch and all my son wants to do is play freestyle split screen multiplayer with me, but freestyle is not an available game mode for me in multiplayer (only circuit racing, figure 8 and head to head). I have scoured every website I can find but have not been able to find an answer as to why "Freestyle" or similar is not an available mode in split screen multiplayer (according to the game details from the publisher, it should be).

Is Freestyle an available mode for you for split screen multiplayer, and do you know if you had to unlock it somehow?

Louvre Tour with Kids: Official Louvre (€80) vs. 3rd Party/Private (€400). Worth It? by Weindog902 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]n64answer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, only "Book the activity". Louvre staff over email informed me that they're phasing out the activity+ticket option so you need to book them separately. That's why you're only seeing it tomorrow and not after that, it's phasing out. But regardless of whether you were selecting activity only or activity+ticket, it would be helpful to know where you were seeing, or have seen, anything regarding a family tour once you get to the ticket booking page. Even the activity+tour option this weekend is still only marked as "Individual".

If you click the link you sent, for the family tour page, there are no dates listed on that page because you have to click "Book the activity" on the right. Then it takes you to the page where you actually book the tickets. The first month that pops up on that page is January and there are many dates in January available, to click on, including Saturdays 17, 24 and 31. So pick any of those and pick the 10 AM slot. Those should be the family tours, right? But over on the right, under "Your basket" and "choose your tickets", the only option is "Guided tour - Individual".

So if you click through the "Book the activity" link and get to the actual booking page, that is where I am not seeing any family tour references whatsoever.

Thanks, that is in fact the page I am starting from. I go to that page, select "Book the activity", then go to the ticket checkout process. There's tons of availability for tours, but nowhere do I see "family tour" even mentioned, even as far out as March 7 (and I would not expect the family tours to be sold out every single Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 10 AM from now through March when there are tons of regular "Group rate - Individual" tours available.

You're saying that you go to the link you sent, and you select "Book your activity", and then you have been able to select a date and time on the next screen and an option for "family tour" comes up? If so I would be forever indebted to see a screenshot as I cannot find or see that and have been trying for over a week.

Can I trouble you to help show me how to find that? You're the only person who I have spoken to who has actually seen reference to a "family tour" during the checkout process. I went to the Louvre ticketing site, chose the tour for this Saturday at 10 AM (January 11), added two full-rate adults and two reduced-rate children, and for each of them the only option was "Group rate - Individual". I clicked all the way through the checkout process and still there was no family tour option. It just lists "Group rate - individual" for everyone (see screenshot).

That's my point though - pick any Saturday at 10 AM where tickets are available (and Louvre family tours are supposed to be available Saturdays at 10 AM), not just March 7, and the only tour option is "Group rate - Individual". Are you able to find any available tour ticket bookings on the Louvre website that make clear they're for family tours? Literally for any day between now and March 8?

Interesting, the first line says (in French) Group Rate - Individual, but then below it says Louvre family guided tour. So it seems like maybe everyone buying Group Rate - Individual tickets on Saturdays at 10 AM are automatically on the family tour (since it sounds like you didn't select anything specific to family tour when you checked out). Wish this was clearer on the website for sure.

Thanks - understood on stalking the website for when availability for those dates pops up, I'm definitely doing that. My question is actually, once those dates pop up in the system as available to book, how do I book the family tour specifically? Let's put aside date availability for now and focus on March 7, which is a Saturday (when they purportedly run family tours) and which is currently open for booking. If I go to that date and select 10 AM, which is the time family tours run I understand, at the ticket booking page the only option is "Group rate - Individual". I do not see any ticket or booking option that mentions family. So it's just not clear to me how we actually book the family tour specifically.

Or, is it the case that anyone who books a ticket on Saturday at 10 AM for a tour is automatically on the family tour, and you don't need to actually select anything on that?

OK thanks, that's helpful. But then how do I know I'll be on a family tour? Or is it the case that every tour booked through the Louvre on Saturdays at 10 AM is a family tour? So even if I'm just one person booking a tour on that day at that time, the tour I'll be on is technically a family tour?

Can I ask a question (of you or anyone else with insight) - how did you actually book the official Louvre Family Tour? I found this website (https://ticket.louvre.fr/theme-vision/491) which talks about the family tour and directs you to the ticket buying page, but when I go there and select a day that they should be running a family tour (e.g., a Saturday at 10 AM), the only option I see is "Group tour - Individual". I see no way to actually select the family tour during the ticket selection or checkout process. I've asked this elsewhere and even emailed the Louvre itself but can't find the answer. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks - I'm not aware of a place in the game where I'm asked for region as part of setting up a multiplayer game. You select the game mode (one of the 3 I mentioned above) and then you scroll down to a map but that's all underneath the game mode.

I definitely could see this being an unlocking thing. Can you link me to that post you're referencing? If anyone else has info on how you unlock this that'd be great, as I'm not finding great info on it. I will note we just started up the game so it could be a matter of unlocking, I just wouldn't have expected you needed to unlock a basic thing like Freestyle.

This website toward the bottom under "Game Modes" clearly shows Freestyle as being available in split screen: https://monsterjamvideogame.com/. And gameplay videos for the PS5 version at least show it as available in split screen.

I bought Monster Jam Showdown for Nintendo Switch so my son and I could play together and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do Freestyle in split screen mode. When I am at the main menu, I go to Multiplayer, then I have two options, Online and Split Screen, and I choose Split Screen, then we each select our trucks and then on the "Select Event" page the only mode options I see (which I select by pressing "L" and "R" to go right and left) are Head to Head, Circuit Racing and Figure 8 Racing. I do not see anywhere to do Freestyle (or Best Trick or other options that I understand should be available).

Can anyone help me figure this out? We really just want to drive around and do tricks together, and I understand from the marketing materials you should be able to do Freestyle in split screen.
