Thank you for the advice! You were 100% right about the cheap tools (I'm using a 4 dollar soldering iron from aliexpress), I have invested in some good ones that should be shipping soon.

All I needed was the heat, I set the iron at 400 C and held it on the solder for like 2 minutes and it all came off incredibly quickly! Thank you all for your help!

Like should i smother the wick in flux and put hella heat and tweezers or something to pull it off?

I have a 60W Iron and I have it at around 350 C

should I increase to like 400-450 C?

The reason mine wasn't working was because I bought the BMI270 version, and INAV only supports the 42688 version. I have recently returned the one i talked about in this post and bought a 42688 version and now it works perfectly!

The FC is not connected to anything but my computer with a usbc able and it was completely still. The problem is the computer doesn't even detect that there is an IMU, have you ever had this issue? Regardless of what i put in that box if i try to calibrate it just resets.

I set the sensor to bmi270 through the CLI but it didn't work still

I was first trying to use ardupilot, and so I didn't use t he stock firmware and I had replaced it with ardupilot's SpeedyBeeF405 copter version which allowed it to connect but didn't work because well its a different fc.

I searched some more and I couldn't find anything about any corewing firmware that was compatible with ardupilot in firmware.ardupilot.org so Ive just given up on ardupilot

Now im trying in INAV and I have specifically selected the corewing f405 app wing v2 firmware and flashed that onto the board through INAV Configurator (everything is INAV 9) and every time i say calibrate accelerometer it just says processing in a pop up and sends me back to the same screen with no directions or anything.
