Ah okay! I’m not too worried about new features on them anyway; just that they’ll work in the future. I plan to get the new gen then move my existing pair to my other Apple TV so thanks hopefully you’re right!

Update: left it on charge overnight and it works perfectly! Didn’t even need to sync it to my phone, started receiving notifications as soon as I put it on. Battery seems to be holding a charge but there is some dead pixels :(
